I really don’t like how sure everyone is he will get it done this game. We all know he will but the media is acting like it’s a done deal. Comments like “when Brees breaks the record Saturday yada yada” make me uncomfortable. Don’t jinx it man.
If he doesn’t make the record it will be because of one reason and one reason only.

Brees will probably get 200 just on screens and dump-offs in the flat to Ingram and Kamara.

Agree. Brees historically thrives under this type of pressure. I also think Smith is going to explode soon. His preseason was exceptional, but in the past four games he's had four targets and one reception. Considering Ginn's play I expect Smith will be getting more of Brees' attention.

Didn't Emmitt Smith try to get a record against us and got stuffed for negative yards? I vaguely remember that is how it went down. We also beat the crap out of them.

I could totally see this record not happen but that is because MI is returning. I think he is going to have a big day. Healthy, eager to play, high motivation to get a strong contract next year.
