Brees could have a Perfect Season and here's why it could happen
Through 5 games Brees has 0 interceptions and 0 fumbles lost. It would be difficult to do but I think there is some hope that Brees could do the unthinkable and finish the regular season with 0 turnovers as a QB. Here's why:
- The productivity of the offensive line - Michael Thomas pinpoint route running; he serves as Brees' security blanket - Balanced play-calling by Sean and Carmichael - Effective running game - The Taysom factor keeps us from forcing the issue with the pass in the redzone - Brees is locked in and finding open guys. Don't see him throwing into tight windows as much as before. - Good 'ol bayou mojo and beads. Lots of beads! It will be tough and take a heavy dose of good fortune - no tipped passed going in bad places and no sudden pressure fumbles. But I think it could be done. And with the yardage barrier broken, this IMO is the next great goal. Conceive, believe, achieve! If Brees can pull this off plus another eventual Super Bowl victory - forget about Brady and Montana, Brees would be the GOAT QB on a lot of people's minds, and not just Saints fans! |
