Kamara ruffling some feathers

Kamara

If your gonna slam players for sitting and get bent out of shape about Kaperdick then I guess you have to include Kamara in that number.

I don’t give a **** about the issue one way or another anyway and I don’t care what Kamara does off the field as long as he keeps scoring touchdowns.

I know origins of go back to Africa/Pangea, whatever you want to call it. Idk Danno, could he be talking about Whites?

Re: Kamara ruffling some feathers

Kamara’s mother is African; Liberian to be specific. Liberia was founded by free black Americans and Afro-Caribbeans looking to establish a new settlement. These days it’s not such a nice place. I think the hat is probably just a nod to his family’s heritage.

Re: Kamara ruffling some feathers

He can do what he wants, he can wear what he wants, he can advocate for whatever he wants, on his own time. If he's wearing that hat on the sidelines during the game then I have a problem with that, but otherwise he's doing what he has every right to do.

If he was wearing that hat, or any other unlicensed hat, on the sideline the NFL would have a problem with it. They levy fines regularly when unapproved (ei. non-sponsor) wear is spotted in the field area.

But I agree, I have no issue with it at all elsewhere.

He is free to say whatever he wants. If he believes Africa was an economic powerhouse at one point but was ruined by trade deals then ok. That's not what MAGA is about but hey, go for it.

MAGA is not about race or other cultures. It's about economics. It has always been about economics. We are a busted fish tank right now of money flowing out. No reason for it other than lobbyists selling out.

His agenda is about race which is not MAGA.

It was the same slogan used during the first Reagan election. Both times it has been coined by Roger Stone, a man who has his own interests in mind period, but is smart enough to understand how to rile up the weak minded. I guess we're headed for an economic downfall very soon considering history.

He ran on economics of busted trade deals. Nothing about race, gender inequality. That was the message. He said that over and over. Bill Clinton also ran on the same slogan at one point. You bring up factual information but just honor this is also factual:

I'm over it as well because it's BS. People are indeed ignorant in this country. So bash this guy but, make fun of a slogan than the other candidate's husband also ran on but, if they would have won you're cool with it.

It's ignorance on a level that is beyond space and time.

I was young and stupid once upon a time....
Pro Athletes, Rock Stars, & Hollywood actors get a platform of attention that most people don't. And it's certainly within their rights to express themselves, but it's not always a very smart thing to do. And if your one of these high profile celebrities it's especially dumb to get involved with something controversial that's outside your field of expertise that could possibly alienate or offend a good portion of your fan base. I'm personally not offended by AK's political expressions, I just think it's a dumb thing to do. If I were his father or big brother I would just advise him to check his frikin' politics at the door, and stick to the game.

Based on the 800+ point stock market drop yesterday, Ford Motor Co announcing layoffs because of the new tariffs, and Sears going under, yeah looks like the over-inflated false market is ready for a correction

I don't see how Clinton saying this in one speech that someone dug up is the same as the slogan Reagan used and now has been regurgitated by Trump. I don't recall this being something of significance during the Clinton years. Fake news.

False. His mother is a Liberian immigrant who had to flee the country before their civil war broke out. Maybe he’s just lamenting the socioeconomic status of an African nation that his mother can no longer call home.

Re: Kamara ruffling some feathers

Doesn't really ruffle my feathers. I'd rather not see him associate with a washed up, overrated joke of a QB. Because he himself is a superstar and he plays with the greatest QB of all time, so why would you want to associate yourself with garbage? I mean all politics to the side, Colin was only a brief flash in the pan who got exposed as the horrible QB he really was pretty quickly.. Anyway, back on topic. Yeah I don't really care. I assume from the start that I almost certainly disagree with many of the players political views. I don't need to agree with them to enjoy watching them play. It was after the game and he didn't launch into some political tirade or anything, so whatever.

That kinda makes sense. But wouldn't "Make Africa Great Again" be better?
Oh well, no biggie.

No, because he is exercising his rights. To be arrested one must limit or prohibit a right. Apparently others feel he should not have this right, or, that he is an idiot.

This is how things get all tangled up. The man has the right to believe as he wishes and (to an extent) express himself accordingly. This is fundamental. But, everybody is so worked up now that people are calling him an idiot.

That's no bueno folks. IMO he's crossing a line if he brings it to the field, but otherwise he has every right and we'd all better support that, even if we disagree.

No problem with his outfit...this is America. Wear what you want. I have been to Africa, and I've been all over America, so I have an observation: America > Africa. If he wants to move himself to Africa, he is certainly free to do so.

But I wouldn't advise it over living in the U.S.

I like the idea. I plan to visit Ghana and South Afrika soon. Ghana is giving out free land and citizenship to Afrikans in America as a form of restitution for the slave trade. We could do a lot of over there with what we’ve learned here with a well-executed and properly planned exodus. Good for you Kamara.

Make sure you visit CIA website or the U.S. embassy at the least if you go. Can't stress safety & situation awareness enough. No joke.

How did you choose Ghana and South Africa specifically to visit?

Ghana caught my interest when I found about the land thing. Plus a lot of people were taken from that area, and with us not being able to pinpoint on our heritage, I try to learn as much as I can about West Afrikan civilizations. My cousin just came from South Afrika. He was there for years. He really loved it. He only came back because all of our family is here. When you have money, anywhere can be nice. I know what the continent can and should be, and I want to help it realize it’s potential.
