Imagine Peterson and Lattimore as our starting CBs. wow
Two corners that don't need safety help and QBs are afraid throwing in their direction. Changes offensive game plan completely. No more big plays... Adding Peterson can make some other guys look better than they actually are.
If Saints didn't have Lattimore then signing Peterson wouldn't make that big difference on the field. But we are talking about two shutdown corners here. If we are all in this season then go for it.

Didn’t have Latt pretty much the entire game. Best secondary looked all season. PJ looked like a starter. Crawleys name didn’t get mentioned much, which is a good thing. Scheme and coaching is where (I) think is the biggest concern.

Yes it is (scheme and coaching) but it was also Alex Smith who just refuses to take deep shots (our weakness) or riskier throws. D-line has to play lights out every game (like it did monday night) in order for our secondary to look good.

Totally different circumstances, but remember Smith and V. Davis are a major reason Brees doesn’t have a second ring. Some teams and players have our #. Different time and day I guess.
