Quick question during the bye week
Just something I was randomly thinking of the other day, feel free to say if it's dumb.
Are there any players or group of players that you would have liked to have seen play on the same Saints team but in fact played in different years. I'll give an example to explain what I mean; I would have liked to have seen Keenan Lewis and Marshon Lattimore play as a tandem, they would have been lethal. How about early Marques Colston and Michael Thomas as wide receiver tandem? Just something (possibly silly) that I was thinking about the other day and thought I'd ask you guys? |
Your bonehead creator picked a fine chapter to omit from your memory bank....let me ask you, does a machine like yourself ever experience fear? - Vegeta, DBZ

Re: Quick question during the bye week
Barry, posted a couple of years ago about this - Bobby Hebert had Carl Smith as a guest on his radio show and he set Saints Nation right with the Truth...
Problem wasn't Carl Smith, Jim Mora restricted the playbook and under penalty of termination Smith's couldn't deviated from script as Mora didn't trust his players... |

From the Old School department...
Obvious choice would be Ricky Jackson and the Dome Patrol... But I'd love to have had Tommy Myers as a Safety right now... With Dave Waymer at LCB opposite Marshon Lattimore... Marques Colston opposite CantGuardMike would be awesome... Saints could also use a young, in his prime, TE in Jimmy Graham... |

Re: Quick question during the bye week
No, that's totally legit. Had been in New Orleans all day and was driving pass the Dome heading home when I caught that show; and I was thinking O' Boy, this'll make the drive go by quick...
Truthfully, I've never been a big Bobby Hebert fan, but the way he stopped those calls and disclosed "what you think you know, you really don't know" and that Mora, not Smith, was the cause... Hebert earned a whole 'nother level of respect from me that day in not only the way he handled it on-air, but callers, waiting to exact their pound of flesh from Smith, instead Thanked Smith and Hebert... Hebert said he still respected Mora for what he did to get the Saints to respectability, but at the same time, didn't care that Mora had never really publicly took the hit and let Smith take the heat instead... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
