Well, in truth, we were taking Reuben Foster, 49er GM John Lynch caught wind that Payton prematurely called the LBer to congratulate him, and Lynch swooped in with the 31st pick...

Like 32 teams, including the Saints, passing on Marques Colston for six-plus rounds, we were fortunate, very fortunate, in fact, you could say Divine Intervention guided him here...

Thankfully the Saints were smart enough to take him there, even if he was there second choice...
