Can analysts and "experts" stop saying that the Saints can't win on the road ???

We are 3-0 away from the Dome this season.

Excellent win today.

I'm going to give the game ball to the coaches for this one. The offensive playcalling was fantastic. On defense, some poor calls in certain spots, yes, but we at least made the Ravens one-dimensional and made Flacco beat us. And the special teams doing that high kick deep and trapping the Ravens behind their 20 was an excellent call. Drew is still in the zone and looking hungry. We've still got our rhythm and that is all you can ask for coming out of a bye week.

And the use of Taysom is throwing the defense for loops. Whether it is successful or not on any given play it drives them crazy. And the best part about it is that we have a future Hall of Fame QB that totally buys into it and it doesn't affect his ego at all.

Re: 18-1 Baby! Another pair of firsts!

That entire opening drive with the four 4th downs, ten minutes of clock, resulting in zero points, was classic Sean Payton, and one for the ages. It was an epic drive, a saga. You could write a Viking war poem about that drive, it was so much fun -- I wound up not even really caring that they eventually didn't score with the fumble at the very end, it was so much freaking fun getting down there and almost scoring. They were like a bunch of Vikings pillaging; they weren't going to stop until they either reached Valhalla or got cut down trying. Sean Payton was literally not going to stop calling plays until the referees physically took the ball away from Drew and Sean, and made them stop having fun.

Re: 18-1 Baby! Another pair of firsts!

Putting Tayson Hill on the punting team helps in several ways.

1) He provides a proven ability to pick up the fist down by running and passing.
2) The threat should slow the rush, giving Morstead a bit more time.
3) Since the interior of the receiving team's D line has to stay home to protect against a fake punt, this leaves the return man naked with little, if any, blocking.
