The question if Patrick Peterson will be traded from the Arizona Cardinals before the deadline next Tuesday will likely be asked from now until then, unless the team makes a move.

According to ESPN, the former LSU cornerback now in his eighth NFL season wants to move on after the Cardinals began this season with a 1-6 record, putting them in full rebuild mode. Soon after the report, the team said Peterson would not be dealt.

“That’s out of the question,” Cardinals coach Steve Wilks said during a press conference.

He could come in and have impact immediately.
That said, I don't think the Cards are parting ways with him.
Several players over the years ask to leave their team only to get rejected by the front office.

Granted, the Cardinals are a terrible team that has gotten weaker, and probably bad organization on whole to roll a career with.

Well a couple of elite corners were traded this off season, so the market is good.

If the Cards are truly looking to rebuild/reload around a young QB, they should look to address whatever assets Pat has to address weak spots. Not sure how long that HC will last but if that organization can get multiple picks & help stack their roster with guys to "fit" his system, you make the trade.

I just hope the Saints FO make a few calls. Peterson eliminates a lot of issues for us on the back end.
