How much do you think this could raise?

With the saints and state trying to find more money, why not ask the fans to help pitch in. Hell i would rather play somethin like $200 a year to keep the saints here than to see them leave. How many other season ticket holders do you think would put up some money. Not $200, just what they can maybe more maybe less.

I know this is just more "charity" to Benson, I dont want the saints to leave. And I know not that everyone would put in. Maybe they saints could get a percentage credit of what is donated by season holders?

Just speculating. If say 30,000 season ticket holders give an average of $200, that would equal $6 mil a year.

I not its not the best idea but like i said, I DONT WANT THE SAINTS TO LEAVE.

I cant stand having to watch baseball, basketball and all the other balls that dont begin with foot.

I doubt you will find many in an economically poor state to take food off their own table to line the pocket of a multimillionaire. Hell, I would bet some of the season ticket holders' kids are going without school books so they can have those season tickets. Benson already gets money from the masses in the form of the taxes that are used to pay him, you are asking people to contribute directly from their pockets as well? I'd rather see this team leave before that happens. Take that $200 and put a homeless person up in a hotel for the night and get them some new clothes. Or take it to your local school and make sure all the kids there have books and shoes and air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. DO NOT throw more money at a person who has more money in his wall safe than most of us will see in our entire lives. I don't want the Saints to leave New Orleans either, but this is borderline insane.

RE: How much do you think this could raise?

How about we all just give Tom Benson our first born children and let him sell them to drug trafficers in Columbia to use as "mules." Then, maybe he can get a proceed of the sales of the "packages" that the "mules" smuggle into the country in a very uncomfortable spot??? I bet he could make $7 billion a year that way. That would only be about 1,000 times what most other NFL owners are making though. Are we sure that's enough to keep Tom in New Orleans? It is a small market you know... poor too. Maybe we ought to make that our first two children. OK, every man on this site - go out and get some girl pregnant. Doesn't matter who, all that matters is that we start generating children for Tom. Afterall, I don't want the Saints to leave!!!

RE: How much do you think this could raise?

There are a lot of people that benefit from the Saints being there ethically those are the ones who should be paying and they do so in the form of taxes. I like the fact that there seems to be a lot of people up in arms about this mess... CHILL already. Yeah sure write the gov. and whom ever you want. This is still negociations... typical negociations. Once side trying to use leverage and gain more leverage to win there side. There is a lot of factors have to take place in order for the Saints to move and none are in full swing yet. Benson could also wait til its time for another gov. to take office and get his man in to win.

You mean you don't want to give Tom Benson your first born to sell into slavery to a Columbian Drug Lord?

Send me that check of 200 buckets and I'll see that it goes to keeping the Saints in New Orleans.
