Re: Report: New Saints DB Eli Apple likely to start vs. Vikings; Ken Crawley to be inactive
BY NICK UNDERHILL | nunderhill@theadvocate.com Oct 28, 2018 - 7:06 am
The New Orleans Saints appear to be moving ahead with Eli Apple at cornerback. New Orleans will make Ken Crawley one of its seven inactive players Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings, according to an NFL Network report. The Saints traded for Apple earlier this week and all signs pointed toward him serving as the starter. This is a sign that New Orleans is comfortable with his ability to pick up the defense despite only participating in three practices. Crawley has struggled to find consistency after a solid 2017 season. New Orleans benched him to start a Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons, only to have to put him back into the lineup after Patrick Robinson suffered an ankle injury that landed him on injured reserve. The decision to make him inactive is not overly surprising considering New Orleans typically only keeps four corners active, and Crawley is behind Marshon Lattimore, Apple and P.J. Williams on the depth chart. The fourth corner, Justin Hardee, serves on special teams, while Crawley does not. The Saints will need to figure out how to use their corners Sunday night against Minnesota. Apple typically only played on the left side for New York, while New Orleans typically has Lattimore shadow the opposition’s top receiver. Minnesota has two players in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs who require attention. |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Just throwing this out there, but fans have apparently discovered Ken Crawley’s burner account on Twitter. The username is @Billybando1. He’s out there saying that our safeties are trash and that he was better than Lattimore last year.
Sounds like Ken has become a locker room cancer. |

Crawley needs to take his neck brace off so he can spin his head around and locate the football

Re: Report: New Saints DB Eli Apple likely to start vs. Vikings; Ken Crawley to be inactive
C'mon guys, Crawley has been flat out awful this season & his slot abilities are best questionable at best. His confidence faded after the Atlanta (Ridley 3 tds) game. I still believe PJ is the best option in the slot.
Ken has given up opposing QB's perfect QB ratings. Maybe that weak interview he had with the media left a bad taste in coaches eyes? Maybe he's still having "issues" at practice? Maybe he has an "attitude" after the Apple acquisition? I'm not surprised at all on the inactive status for KC. Next man up. Saints have a important game to win tonight. |
