The Unsung Heroes
As usual, the crowd was exceptional and it made for more than a couple plays where Goff was confused and frustrated. Screw Arrowhead and CenturyLink Field. The Superdome brings the thunder for certain! Awesome!
But I just want to personally express my pride and gratitude to that BLACK AND GOLD BRICK WALL that shut down that fabled Rams Defensive front of Suh, Donald, and now Fowler. NO sacks, only 4 hits, 2 pass deflections and incredible downfield blocking for Kamara! After years of struggling to get enough pieces on that line to be a factor, we now have arguably, one of the best O lines in the league. After handling the Vikings and now the Rams, we can safely say that this is no fluke! I'll put Armstead, Peat, Unger, Warford, and Ramczyk against any line in the league right now! PLEASE STAY HEALTHY!!!! |

Re: The Unsung Heroes
It'll never show up on the stat sheet however did anyone notice Sheldon Rankins in the trenches?? He had that O lineman on roller skates multiple times.
Troy mentioned him a couple of times but Rankins is becoming a force & showing his 1st round pedigree. |

Demario Davis tackling down MVP candidate Gurley on a lot of key one-on-one's yesterday was huge. I have been very impressed with his tackling and discipline.
The safeties also played solid yesterday - no big mistakes or horribly blown coverages that I can remember. Which is all you can ask for most games - just make the offense earn it. And the run blocking by the entire team was good. We took that up a notch. |
