After months went by, yep. Before that he was taking any visits he could lineup.

No one is going to change my mind about him being washed up. The only thing that can do that is him proving me wrong. I've seen him play, I've had him on my fantasy teams, I know how far he's fallen. He's a shadow of his former self and I just don't feel like we need him here.

I'm not opposed to giving Dez a try. He might be kind of a spirit animal to Michael Thomas. His attitude and ability has to be decent enough though.

Falcon fans are hilarious; we are cheating our way to our 2nd Super Bowl because we have a better GM than them...

Loomis is a superior businessman who apparently understands the cap better than Dimitroff and 99% of us fans

What happened to Ben Watson in the 2nd half against the Rams? He had great production in the first half then he disappeared. I don't recall seeing him take a snap in the 2nd half. If Ben is hurt, could this be why we're seeing Dez & Brandon Marshall coming in for workouts?

Love the cheating the cap and cap hell come. Ts
They realise that as it stands we have over 100ml plenty of cap in the coming years. Though plenty of players to pay

Yeah he went out with his finger bent in the wrong direction; not sure how long or if he will be able to come back...

I thought it was just dislocated, but I’m not a doctor

So much to consider and talk about with this opportunity.

If you are a defense - How do you cover Bryant and Thomas, much less with Kamara on the field.

If you are Drew Brees - Welp.. Christmas. A double prom date with Linda Carter and Catherine Bach.

If you are Thomas - Dies this push you harder or chip away at your soul knowing that Loomis could have a second legit #1 receiver option when you are negotiating your contract?

If you are Sean Payton - Do you risk the drama might bring when your offense is firing on all cylinders, and your locker room is stable?

Lots to gnaw on.

He can play with a dislocated finger. He can play with a broken one too if he wanted. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s possible.

He was never a fast guy, but he's even slower now. He doesn't consistently win 50-50 balls anymore, which was one of his strengths in his prime.

This is a guy who hasn't been able to secure a job, despite so many teams around the league needing receivers. He's had a handful of workouts with some of those very same teams and nothing has come of it. Most guys in his position get jobs, or at least training camp invites on their reputation alone. The fact that he hasn't is, to me, very telling.

Something to consider and assuming all of that is true.. Is he an upgrade at a present position or does he provide depth at a shallow position? If so then you would be doing your self an injustice to not try and reach a team favorable deal.

This is entirely a 'this is our year and could he make us better now' choice; which requires a different approach than 'how do we get better in the future' choice.

Re: Dez Bryant coming for a workout

Dez Bryant in black and gold ?... interesting.

Does he leave his drama antics up here in Dallas? Is he willing to accept a smaller role (#3) with the Saints? Does he hurt (became a distraction in D) team chemistry? How quickly can he grasp the playbook ? How would he respond to 1 or 2 targets a game? He'd have to be crystal clear on his role with the NO Saints.

My question to posters here is why is Mr. Bryant still sitting on the couch in November ?

Due diligence from the Saints front office.

No way Loomis or Payton would sign Bryant over Thomas. Zero.
Agree to all other points.

Re: Dez Bryant coming for a workout

I just had the thought that maybe Brandon Marshall could actually be the more interesting piece. He is a huge receiver that can run block - he could be a role player at both tight end and wide receiver. We'd have to see that he still has something left in the tank and his head is right of course. Just a wild hunch but given our tendency to move Taysom at various spots and putting Kamara in the slot I can't rule it out.

I bet Dez would be a great blocker. Bring him in like a Dennis Rodman. Give him a token RZ target now and then. I could see it working out as much as I hate to say it.

He would be a fool not to I know that much. Latching on to a real SB contender. Rubbing it in Jerry's face if that goes down.

The Cows would be the least of my worries. They are a mess.

I'm more concerned about production against Carolina (twice), Pitt, Philly and the hated Falcons.

But circling back to my original post/question ... Saints & Dez would have to be on the same page as it relates to his role at WR in New Orleans & if he is willing to accept it in order to play for a legitimate contender. Anything to take off the pressure from Kamara & Thomas would be a positive.

Change could be good. It's working with Josh Gordon in NE.

I'll trust the process.

I completely agree. I'd take Marshall over Dez. Dez is a whiny little *****. Always been a whiny *****. Always will be. He throws fits and thinks that in order to win, you have to throw to him. Why the **** would anyone want this tool bag on our team? Do you really think that this time away from football has humbled him? Lol. **** no. If it did, he'd have taken a contract earlier, not saying that he "will only play for a contender." Like he's a first ballot HOF receiver. Lol. Hilarious.

Whoever comes in is going to be right under SP's eye.
One thing about Sean Payton he's not going to tolerate any distractions.
I wouldn't want to be on the other side of his desk when he's pissed off, ask RR.

Superstar...lol. 5 years ago maybe. Those days are long gone for Dez. IF he signs here, it will be as a role player, nothing more.

That's an exaggeration if I ever heard one, Why would he go play w/ Tyrod or Baker right now? He already had the QB rough patch in Dallas.... let's keep things in perspective

Everyone is a "role" player that's not a negative.

Meredith didn't do squat. Carr tries but just isn't getting it done. Arnold reminds me of Josh Hill. Great guy, plays hard, but little impact. So it's MT, AK, Ingram, and a bit of Smith and Watson.

As long MT13 keeps playing how he's been playing, I don't think he's worried about Dez or the #1/2/3 WR pos. He wants to win and make plays when his number is called
