I thought he was older than 30. Lost some speed but he won't be in that role. Thinking he gets 12-15 snaps a game, heavily involved in downfield blocking which hasn't materialized like last year. And plenty of time to learn the playbook for the playoffs. It's a good move. Carr and Meredith are not cutting it.

No, it wasn't. Of course he is not the same receiver as when he was young. He is better than what we have as a number 2 and that's just it, we aren't asking him to be a number 1. Him and MT are both big too. Helps in red zone, helps all over the field. I don't think it is just about money. He has half a season to do what he can to get a SB. This could be as close as he will ever sniff. I may be wrong but I think he will help.

From an article I read

Bryant turned 30 just days ago on Nov. 4, and played in 116 games (including the playoffs) for Dallas. He scored 75 touchdowns in those appearances, averaging 66.2 yards per game and 14.1 yards per catch. That’s pretty good.

Get excited Saints fans. We got quite possibly the best #2/3 WR in the league.

He’s only 3 months older than Julio.

Winning cures a lot of ailments...if he is willing to block down field on running plays and buy into what we are doing then we will be ok. He will provide another 3rd down chain mover and a nice red zone target.

The most important thing is that since it’s a mid season signing we can most likely just release him with little ramifications if he becomes a malcontent in the locker room.

Missed “was NOT all” in my earlier statement, since corrected. I agree another big body the defense has to match up with. As far as locker room cancer, head case and sideline rants should any of those issues appear they will be dealt with post haste in my humble opinion. Being cut and sitting out part of the season might have been a very valuable learning experience Dez’s in addition to signing with a team that plays for each other lead by a GOAT QB and Head Coach who has a history of not tolerating any for before mentioned personal issue.

I hope Dez leaves the ego, "me" attitude up here in Dallas. Saints don't need any distractions. Is he still talented ? Of course. Can he help us? Absolutely. Gotta hold on to the ball here though. He's not playing in Arlington anymore. SP won't tolerate the muffs, drops or sideline tomfoolery. But one selfish out burst or slip up, hope coaches show him the door.

Once Brees develops trust on his routes/timing, Dez needs to capitalize when his # is called. I wish him nothing but the best here though. We all have ONE goal .

Keep grinding.

That’s why I’m not worried. If he gets out of line the organization has no problem cutting him. He’s a role player now, and he can be treated as such.

I think he will be a good fit for us. MT is our undisputed #1wr so Dez just needs to catch the ball when its thrown to him. Drew is much better than any QB Dez has played with. He wont have to catch passes that are all.ove the place, Drew putts the ball in the right spot. He also will not command the best CB from opposing defenses like he did in Dalls. A number 2 CB is gonna have troubles with his big body.
