Yes and no. Meredith gave Saints an option; he also was an expensive smoke screen for the early rounds to draft a receiver (i.e. Tre'Quan Smith) that was needed to open things up for Thomas...

The reports of Meredith's inability to block, especially the speculation that it's based on willingness and/or effort, is what is most disturbing about the Meredith experience...

My cautious optimism and uneasiness of this signing is adding someone with his publicized history to the locker room while things are going well...
