Actually this is probably the interesting question. Honestly if Dez wants the ball from Brees, he's going to have to make himself available. Separation really was never Dez's strong suit. Much of his production with Romo was based on 50/50 jump balls. Brees throws the ball to the open man, and to the man he trusts. So it'll be interesting to see if he and Dez can develop to the point where Brees is willing to either throw Dez open, or throw a 50/50 ball like he used to do with Graham and trust that his guy is the only one to come down with it.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Even if he doesn’t get open, he’s going to take at least some coverage away from Thomas, Kamara, and the others...

There's still only 11 players. Do you think other teams didn't cover Cameron or Smith? They aren't going to double Bryant, he doesn't make everyone else suddenly open. Is Dez better in some sets that Meredith or Smith? Of course or we wouldn't have signed him, but remember folks, we didn't sign Calvin Johnson.

So what do you do when you have Thomas, Watson, Bryant, and Kamara all running routes?

Is this a trick question? The same thing you did when Thomas, Watson, Smith, and Kamara are running routes. Did other teams not cover Smith or Meredith, and somehow Drew couldn't find them, and now all of a sudden they will have to cover Bryant?

Come on. I am happy we are trying to win now. I think we will see more of the sets we saw when Graham was here, with Dez in the "Graham" spot would be my guess, and I think he can help us. Meredith doesn't fit our system or he's not as good as we thought and Smith is gonna take some more time to develop so this move makes us better. I think Dez can help in a lot of sets, but as I said earlier, we didn't sign Calvin Johnson.

No we didn't sign CJ but we did someone who's more likely to be a mismatch for a #3 CB or safety than what we have.

And Sean is all about matchups. He'll find a way to get Dez involved when the matchup can be exploited.

I really think people are discounting the talent of Dez Bryant. He won early in his career because of athleticism. He admitted that he needed to focus more on his route tree and all reports said he took all the proper steps to improve it. He’s no slower than Michael Thomas. Thomas gets open because he runs routes. Bryant is more than capable of learning how to run routes in order to create separation.

Actually, Brees does throw the man open, and not necessarily just jump balls. His accuracy allows him to thread the needle and consistently complete passes to receives who are well covered.

Physically, Dez is a lot like Thomas. I'm confident that Brees is responsible for much of Thomas' success. He's a good receiver. Brees makes him great.

Let's hope the Brees can to the same for Dez.

Brees does a better job than most at connecting with receivers who ARENT open. With his accuracy He is a master at throwing into coverage and placing the ball in a tiny space where only his target can get it.
