Dez Injured at practice.

If I had an option, I'd bring in Marshall. Kirkwood needs more development and is an unknown. You don't want to rely on that heading to the playoffs with someone with zero snaps at this level.

Win now mode? Get a proven player like Brandon Marshall + he is in football shape (has played this season). He's older but you know Brees has a way of making guys productive.

We should go after Marshall. He may not have the deep threat speed Dez has, but he's better in the short passing. And Marshall played for an offense last year that still isn't doing anything.

Dez was a perfect fit.
Without him, if Michael Thomas got injured we would have to lean on Alvin Kamara with 2nd most receptions.

For Dez he's 30 going to be brutal trying to come back after an Achilles tear.
That's some unfortunate Bad Karma right there. Strangely enough I was pulling for it to work out for him.

I suppose we could bring in Marshall, but he is older and limited the more I think about it. We need to get more out of Carr and Arnold (maybe he's more of a WR anyway) and/or activate Kirkwood. Curtis Johnson should be able to get at least one of these young dudes to step up.

I don't think Marshall can really help this team. He's 34 and hasn't lasted a full season with a team over the last couple of years. I'd rather call up Kirkwood, give him 3 or 4 games to show what he can/can't do, then sign Marshall if it's necessary.

Its week 10, we only need him to last half a season
