If healthy, I wouldn't rule out Brandon Coleman. He's played in this complex offense, knows the plays & Sean Payton stated earlier this season that he wouldn't rule out his return at some point if he returns to 100% good health.

Damn, really tough luck on Dez. I feel bad for him.

Saints offense is still one if not THE best offense in the league. Is losing Dez a tad disappointing? Hell yeah. Are we in trouble? No. This offense was winning before he stepped in NO.

Can't miss what we never had. Someone will step up.

While I didn't necessarily agree with the signing, I still hate to see it happen. I feel really bad for him and I hope that somehow he heals up quickly and completely and he's able to get another shot somewhere next year. He at least deserves to be able to go out on his own terms. Brandon Coleman had years to prove himself to be a red zone target and a 3rd down converter. He never did it. Take a chance on Kirkwood or sign Brandon Marshall.

I'd like to see Kirkwood get the call up. Marshall will probably still be out there in a few weeks if it doesn't work out. Let's see what the young guy's got.

If I had an option, I'd bring in Marshall. Kirkwood needs more development and is an unknown. You don't want to rely on that heading to the playoffs with someone with zero snaps at this level.

Win now mode? Get a proven player like Brandon Marshall + he is in football shape (has played this season). He's older but you know Brees has a way of making guys productive.

We should go after Marshall. He may not have the deep threat speed Dez has, but he's better in the short passing. And Marshall played for an offense last year that still isn't doing anything.

We lack depth, sign Marshall and let him and Kirkwood compete. You don’t want to wait until you need a receiver in a Sean Layton offense. You want your need to be up to speeed before he is a need. :saintsfan:
