“Philly will be one of those teams that, they've got championship pedigree, players that have just finished winning the Super Bowl will be playing in a game that they feel like is vital to win. So we really shift that focus internally to us to work on improving our game and putting together a good week of practice.” — Saints coach Sean Payton.

Armstead has battled many injuries the last couple few years. He was limited to seven games in 2016 due to knee and quad injuries and played 10 last season due to hip and shoulder issues. An injury has to be a disappointing blow for a player who had finally found relief after doing everything he could to stay on the field the last two years.
That's just it... HAS he done what's necessary for these things NOT to happen? Our RT has yet to miss a game. What's different?

Observations on the Eagles:

O Line is banged up with several injuries.

DB's are now all either nickel/2nd String/Practice Squad players.

RB position is still in disarray and not likely to produce.

Wentz can be rattled into making bad throws as a pocket passer. Turn up the heat and stop him from running and he's very beatable.

Analysis: I like the chances for the Saints to dominate this one. And on a personal note, I have a bottle of Blanton Reserve coming to me from a Philly TV cameraman when the Who Dat Nation wins!

Ertz is a very good TE. Really gets out of his cuts well.

Don't forgot they also acquired Golden Tate. He's been a Saints killer over the years.

I ain't eaten the cheese. Saints must be on their A game.

We could easily lose this game if we don’t watch it. The crowd better damn well get off their asses for this game. The Rams game made our fans look like an embarrassment

Were you at the game? I mean, I heard what Payton said about it being loud, but he'd heard louder. I was there, I'm 45 y/o and been to many games (including MNF vs Atl when Gleason blocked the punt). Admittedly early in the 3rd when they started their run, it was quiet, but to say it was an embarrassment is way off. Our fans are loud, proud and they know what's going on in the game.

Go to a Falcons game if you want to see what an "embarrassment" looks like.

Nope but my wife was and at least a dozen of my friends who had season tickets said once we took the lead before the half the fans were totally out of it. That’s not including aquaintances .Didn’t get back into it until the 4th quarter. They thought the game was won and that was that.
Fans owe the team more than that. I only go to a couple of games per year and I’ll be happy to take their tickets if they think it’s just a time to socialize.

Well, it wasn't like that where I was sitting.

The Dome was loud and proud up until halftime, but the lower bowl was pretty empty for much of the 3rd quarter, which is when the Rams started their little pathetic futile attempt at coming back. By midway through the 4th quarter it was back to being playoff-level loud again. No question that the 3rd quarter, the crowd in the lower bowl went AWOL while the Rams came back. The terrace was rocking the whole time, but the lower bowl was half full for much of the 3rd. I blame the Club Lounges in the 100 and 200-300 levels. I'm at the highest point in the top of the terrace, by the hanging banners, looking down at the whole stadium. That's what I saw.

Then tell the people where youre sitting to tell the other people who are sitting Elsewhere to look toward your section as an example.
Point out the Decible meter and tell them to not stop until it tops 150.
Off topic a little but at one point the loudest game in the dome was right over 122 decibels. I don’t know if it’s measured on the field or what but your standard gas generator clocks in at around 75 decibels at 20 feet. Could you imagine communicating to your offense with a generator on each side of you. It would be insane.

Davenport and Armstead both DNP. Other's all limited and/or NIR on the injury report.

Eagles on Sunday, Falcons on Thursday.

Two birds with one Dome.
