Re: Alvin Kamara on saying the Saints would have beat Eagles in playoffs: 'Yeah, that's what I said'
I don't think Kamara meant any disrespect by his comment. It's more of a mindset that he has, which is what the team needs to win a SB. And Jenkins's comment was nothing but class and work-like.

We are definitely the much better team, I am just not thrilled with when we are getting them. I am glad we are at home this week.
Week to week in this league is week to week. In the past we have lost to the Browns and Rams when they weren't very good. We played a team that won 7 games in the regular season who came out and beat us in first round of the playoffs. You just can never tell when a team feels like they have something to prove and they can muster that emotion for one week. If we come out with a lot of emotion we will win this going away...but if we come out a little sluggish and let them hang around you just never know. Glad you're not worried, I am worried based simply on the timing. |

(2) LOL.I know we can never let go of the past. The nightmares of the Rams and Browns will last forever. But I truly feel this is a different team. Also, we lost that game to Seattle at there house, that made a difference. (3) I agree crazy stuff can happen (Minnesota miracle, but this team is playing so good right now). There are so many unprecedented things we are doing (Brees completion %, 1 INT, MT catching 90% of passes thrown to him, the list goes on.) We are playing better than the 2009 team, multiple talking heads say we are the best team in the NFL atm. So I can understand the worry, some things are hard to forget, but today in the dome, with the injuries Philly has and how well we are playing, we got this. This game and next is not known as the Dome, it is gonna be known as the place where birds come to DIE!! Whodat!!! |

This is a really good team, but the Eagles are coming with everything they have. I am not sure we are in that level of desperation this week. Getting up early, however, would be huge. I'm not saying we are going to lose, we are really good, but I am saying we need to come out hungry. If we come out hungry it wouldn't surprise me for us to win by 3 td's. But looking at a stat about the Eagles since DP took over their worst loss has been by 18 I read and nearly all of their games come within one score.
Clearly turnovers and penalties must always be avoided in order to win, but Two points in this game IMHO: 1. We have to protect Drew. Like you said they are banged up. The only way we can take advantage is protecting him. Drew is absolutely on fire this year. It is sick. 2. Get after CW. They have let up like 28 sacks or something this season. They do have weapons in the pass game. Getting pressure on Wentz will help our secondary. That's my keys to the game, which are probably worthless |

Re: Alvin Kamara on saying the Saints would have beat Eagles in playoffs: 'Yeah, that's what I said'
that's my hope brother. Hope it is like many Saints big wins where you kind of are close and then the Saints are up by 3 td's and you're not really sure that happened so quick. It is like a beating through attrition.
