Perhaps it's because that's pretty much what this team has consistently delivered. Sure, some offseason moves have, on paper improved the team. But nothing earth shattering. And the NFC South is very competitive. All the teams have made moves to improve. The core of the Saints team is the same. Why expect a hugely different result? To just about everyone else in the league the Saints are "THE UNDER ACHIEVERS". Good enough talent to do better...but they don't. Why go out on a limb and predict that this year is the year for a breakthrough?

As for me...Saints 9-7 and in the playoffs...hey, I'm a fan.
