WebGalaxe prediction on the saints

New Orleans seems destined to finish around 8-8 every year. Not good enough to be a contender, too good to be the Aints.
Team Information:
Location: New Orleans, LA
Team Colors: Black and Gold
Home Stadium: Superdome
Head Coach: Jim Haslett
Key Players: Aaron Brooks (QB), Deuce McAllister (RB), Joe Horn (WR)

Prediction for the season: McAllister is one of the top RBs in the league and needs to get more love. Aaron Brooks shows flashes of greatness but disappears too many times. He will need to stay healthy this year because their backup QB situation is very scary. Horn also needs to shut up and play. Forget the cell phones, forget the trash talk.... catch the ball and get in the endzone. Tough team to call in a very tough division. Probably looking at 7 wins and last place in the NFC South.

I think it bodes well for the Saints -- Usually the Saints are supposed to make a run for the playoffs and we fail -- I think this year everyone assumes we will suck and this allows us to sneak up on teams -- I look for us to have a solid 10 win season --

I think he's harsher than necessary, but not that far from the truth.

My personal prediction is 8-8, miss the playoffs by a game. Offense will be slightly improved, defense slightly improved. The Panthers take the division this year. N.O. places second or third.

Pessimistic? Perhaps. But it's heartfelt. We're just not on the level yet to contend with teams like New England. We're too erratic.

I can see why I never went to that damn website before. The cellphone incident was sometime ago, so I guess that can't come up with current comments either.

Didn't really give a reason why we'd only have seven wins, and didn't talk about the D at all....but that might have been a good thing.

I dont understand why everyone comes down so hard on Joe Horn. Admittedly, the cell phone incident was rediculous but only for him. I was embarassed for him and his not so humorous actions. Other than his embarassing himself, why was it so bad? Who cares that he did that.

He thinks a lot of himself, but that is what makes him show up every Sunday...even if he is injured. The way he handled his contract negotiations is exactly why I don't think anyone can lump him in a TO type category. No hold outs, no whining, no lack of production caused by outside influences/actions.

The man has a family, golfs, acts like a clown but only in between making clutch plays and putting up top 5 numbers.

cellphone shmellphone

this guy mentions our top 3 weapons and then says 7-9.

Wow, wasn't that like two seasons ago or something? Maybe Joe called this guy's wife to set up a date or something. Seems to be a little bitter to me. Anyways, whoever wrote this must not know anything about Joe Horn's productivity. Last year he was 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards and had double digit touchdowns, and this guy is telling him to "forget the trash talk" and "get in the endzone?" That's like telling Manning he should stop audibling and just throw more touchdown passes. Abso-freakin-lutely ridiculous. Joe Horn is a stud, cell phone antics or not. This guy just seems bitter about something.

Yeah Joe. Just shut up and play already. We're tired of having to watch you celebrate in ways that don't insult the fans or opposing players while on your way to your 4th Pro Bowl in 5 seasons. Why can't you be more like the other great WRs in the league? T.O., Randy Moss, Chad Johnson... now there are some class acts. Be like them, OK!?!?

Idiot.

I ALWAYS THOUGHT JOE NEEDED TO SHUT UP ABOUT OTHER TEAMS BEFORE WE PLAYED THEM BUT HE WAS QUIET LAST YEAR. I LOVE THE GUY AND HE IS BY FAR OUR BEST WO. HE WILL HAVE ANOTHER SOLID YEAR. IF DEUCE GETS GOING AND DONTE GETS 60 OR 70 CATCHES HE COULD HAVE ANOTHER 90-100 CATCHES THIS YEAR. THE GUY HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST WO'S IN THE LEAGUE FOR SOME TIME. TOP 10 MAYBE TOP 5. I DONT KNOW IF WE WILL WIN ONLY 7 GAMES THIS YEAR. I DONT EXPECT US TO FINISH LAST. WE COULD. FOR SURE NO DOUBT THAT WE COULD. I DONT THINK WE WILL. I THINK WE DO PLAY IN A TOUGH DIVISION. BUT I THINK WE ARE AS EQUAL AS EVERY TEAM IN THE DIVISION. WHETHER WE PLAY THAT WAY OR NOT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. THE WAY WE HAVE PLAYED THE LAST FEW SEASONS 8-8 WOULD SEEM WHERE WE ARE HEADED. I CAN HOPE THOUGH THAT EVERY THING CHANGES THIS YEAR. I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR US IS TO WIN CLOSE GAMES. WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT WHAT OUR O OR D WILL DO ( AND OF COURSE THAT IS HUGE ) WE NEED TO WIN CLOSE GAMES. WE CAN NOT COME OUT AND BE DOWN BY TWO TD'S EARLY. WE CAN NOT COME OUT FLAT LIKE LAST YEAR. OH AND WE NEED TO BE CONSISTENT. THAT MAY BE OUR BIGGEST CHALLENG.
