Thomas Morstead has a busy day with two punts
Saints running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara were doing a joint video interview when they pulled punter Thomas Morstead into it.
“This is the best punter in the league,” Kamara said, via Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune. “And he don’t even punt,” Ingram chimed in. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ith-two-punts/ |

Re: Thomas Morstead has a busy day with two punts
Holding for Lutz is an important job. How many games have turned because a holder flittered away a snap? Tony Romo comes to mind.
Morstead is 5th in net punting at 44.3 yds & 1 touchback in 21 punts. Of those 21 kicks, 7 Fair Catches & 7 inside the 20 yd line. Dude just flips the field in those rare instances where we don't move the ball. Opposing teams feel good about that rare stop but Morstead flips the field by 44 yds. Gotta be frustrating. Not a glorified job, but I'm glorifying it now, dang it. |
