Drew Brees vs Dallas

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; ...and yet the specter of 09 looms over us.... We must not overlook this game. They have a stout defense. I predict this game will be similar to the Baltimore game....

We must not overlook this game. They have a stout defense. I predict this game will be similar to the Baltimore game.

Drew Brees vs Dallas

Some other similarities from the 09 game:

1. Both games were/are Thursday night games

2. Dallas was in the hunt for a wild card/nfc east spot.

3. We were on a 13 game win streak, we are on a ten game winning streak.

4. Romo and miles Austin were an emerging duo much like Dak and Amari are starting to do now.

5. Marion Barber and the dallas run game was starting to play well much like Ezekiel the Ewok this year.

6. Romo was a scrambler and could make plays with his feet eluding our defensive pressure. Dak is arguably a better scrambler than romo.

7. Payton and the jerrah and the cowboys have a history together. There is a meta at play at some level between us and the cowboys.

8. It looked like Ware was going to miss the game due to a neck injury but the surprise was on the saints that night. Tyron Smith has also been held out with a neck injury and the cowboys are being coy this week. Expect him to show up too like in 09.

Some things that are different from this year:

1. We were with out shockey that game.

2. The cowboys had Demarcus Ware and Spencer who were both at peak form.

3. We were missing Jabari Greer that game and Randal gay got injured in first quarter.

4. Our run D was terrible.

Other observations from watching the replay today :
1. First Td of the game was a 40 yard strike to miles Austin who burned Jenkins down the line. (I think this might have been where my hate for Jenkins started in my life. Losing to dallas was very bitter ... lol)

2. Brees went three and out his first three drives and the cowboys went 14-0 in first quarter.

3. Jason witten was absolutely clutch that game.

4. Reggie pulled hammy at the end of the second half. He was having a Kamara like game till that point. Then drew threw a pick to end their two minute drill. Then with 50 sec we get ball back and ware pops brees and we lose fumble to end the half.

5. Brees was still very reliant on the TE Thomas that game. He pretty much played to the level we needed him to with shockey out.

6. Devery’s drop in the third quarter was a travesty.

7. Ware and Spencer were all over Brees all game long recording 6 sacks and of the course the last one by ware to end the game. Was painful to watch again.

8. All this being said we were down 24-3 to start the fourth quarter and we almost pulled off a comeback after foles Missed a fg for the boys to seal the deal. Then we converted a 4th and ten on the last drive. It was a miracle as we got closer and closer to the end zone to equalize. I forgot how much of a nail biter that game was. Then came the back to back Spencer and ware sacks and untimely forced fumble. I’m having ptsd.

I would not underestimate this game.

Dak has been sacked 38 times this year, picked five times and lost four fumbles. Our D will be ready to eat.

My big concern is the refs.

Dallas worries me. They are streaking at the right time.

I think Zeke is a POS person but a great RB.
Damn is looking better...

Gonna be a difficult game.

Yeah. Disappointing Saints were just off.
Yeah, really, like, so what. DC won at hone.
I wanted Saints to stay on their streak, but hey, it happens .

I prefer Saints take an L tonight. Take a W Dec9, divisional TampaBB.

40 years or more experience combined for these refs, but they were off for Saints and against Saints and off for and against DCiwboys too.
