Marcus had a heck of a rookie season & has been decent as a sophomore this year. Now if you had said STRONG SAFETY (Kurt I'm talking about you), then I'd agree but not Marcus. He's gonna be one hell of a FS once we figure it out at island 2 opposite Lattimore.

Williams is a bonafide ball hawk. He is a stud. Von Bell, Kurt Coleman and BANJO are not in his league. I understand you're upset with Williams for..........well you know. I like Banjo too, but if he ever beats out Marcus Williams as the Saints starting free safety, Ill be pretty impressed. This thread started on Rankins and Onyemata. Along with Cam, Okafor and Davenport, they quietly have become the best D-line in Saints history. And they're getting better every week. Dare I say-WHO DAT!?!

I don't know if I'd say they're our best D line ever. Joe Johnson, La'Roi Glover, Norman Hand and I believe Darren Howard was drafted while those guys were still around. That was a nasty D line. We lead the league in sacks pretty often in those days, with numbers in the 50's and 60's. Too bad our offense was always atrocious at the time. This current group is beastly but they've got a little ways to go before they supplant the group I mentioned as our best ever.
