Re: Urban Meyer to Saints?
Got to be a talent evaluater, advisor position. Can stay at home more and his eye for talent isn't going to go. Probably a good move as surely someone will look at going after Jeff Ireland again.
Personally I would promote Ireland to some sort of on field general manager and just let Loomis control the bean counters. The difference in the draft since he came aboard has been huge. Maybe this is a move incase he moves on to be a GM somewhere |

I’m pretty sure MT was joking around.

Re: Urban Meyer to Saints?
yeah this seems more like wishful thinking. unless carmichael low key already has a HC position lined up, i don't see this happening.

https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/se...rogram-broken/ I fully expect that he'll take a couple of years to "recover". More likely, it'll be a couple of years for people to forget about the OSU mess....that the new coach will have to clean up. Then some school, desperate for a winning program, will hire him and the cycle will repeat. Seems like the only people who don't have to suffer the consequences of NCAA infractions, program chaos, etc. are the head coaches. They just move on and sign ever bigger contracts. |
