Re: Marshon Lattimore still thinks about last year's altercation with Mike Evans: 'It is what it is'
BY NICK UNDERHILL | nunderhill@theadvocate.com Dec 6, 2018 - 4:30 pm
Marshon Lattimore still thinks about last year's altercation with Mike Evans that led to a fight between the Saints and Buccaneers. How could he not? "Of course I'm thinking about it the whole time, just being a man," Lattimore said. "You can't come back from doing something like that, especially when I don't even know you in the first place. I ain't gonna say I hate him or nothing like that, but it is what it is." Evans has 66 catches for 1,121 yards and five touchdowns. His yardage total ranks third in the NFL. Lattimore had a rough game against Evans when the two met up in Week 1, and the Tampa Bay receiver finished the game with 147 yards. Lattimore, however, got back on track and had been looking more like the player he did when he won the rookie of the year award. But the cornerback said he was annoyed by giving up a few short passes to Dallas' Amari Cooper last week, and said he is still trying to regain his rookie form. "I feel like my rookie year; I don’t know, I just played more freely," Lattimore said. "And now it’s just like trying to overthink too much and just things like that, where I just need to go back to just being me. But it’s gonna come." |

Screw that. Don’t move on. Carry that **** with you every season and unload it twice a year.
I have a feeling down the stretch this team is going to play nasty angry. They have a mission. They are disciplined but they are going to start getting physical as hell. Thomas straight out said he’s tired of people getting handsy so he’s going to do what it takes to put a stop to that ****. Thomas is a mean mofo. He ****s with people mentally before, during, and after the game. When we drafted him I thought he was just going to be another weapon. Turns out he is THE weapon. Except when he isn’t. I hope he’s here for a long time. He is exactly the kind of receiver I’ve hoped for at this point in Drew’s career. He will buy Drew a little time and be the perfect guy to help a young QB build confidence while he settles in. |
