Observations from the Saints win at Tampa Bay

Tough going today...

Game MVP to Taysom Hill, IMHO. He sparked us with the blocked punt.

Defense still playing well.

Congrats Saints .... Division Champions!!!

A better team won’t be as forgiving as the Bucs. That was almost the Dallas game all over again.

I think the offense found its stones again in this one. Took a while, but they came to life when it mattered. Meanwhile our defense turns in yet another really good game. Last time we lost a game we ripped off 10 straight w's. All we need is 7 in a row this time and we're super bowl champs. First one down today, 6 to go.

This team showed heart.....sometimes it not pretty, but we really need another WR. Maybe BM will play next week. Also hoping TA comes back for the pec injury next week as well. All in all a win is a win and we are back to back NFC South Champs.....oh and Geaux Bears tonight lol

I'm working at a CBS/Entercom facility today with a guy who's a big Chicago guy. We're getting along very well.

Hard to watch 1st half. Just plain terrible. But TAYSOM freakin HILL happened. Good thing we kept him, huh?

Special Teams played lights out...we actually got punt return yardage. It's that hidden yardage that gave us great field position all 2nd half. Defense is just playing great. Rankins & Cam are Man-imals. Pressure up the middle forced high & inaccurate throws.

Offense needs to start faster. With Armstead coming back, think this will right the ship.

Taysom Hill continues to be a "spark" for this team.

Saints defense continues to "shut out" offenses in 2nd half of games.

Saints really need Armstead and Ted Ginn Jr back ... badly.

-Listening to Barber was brutal.
-The defense is playing as well as any.
-The young WR's are hit and miss.
-The OL has lost the last two weeks.
-Special teams were special today.

Re: Observations from the Saints win at Tampa Bay

* This was truly a tale of two halfs.

* I love Colston but Thomas is the best WR we have had. What a player.

* Brees still seems a little off his game but was better at the end of the game.

* Cameron Jordan is a stud.

* Davenport really made an impact without really showing up on the statline. He is throwing people around and is just scratching the surface of his potential.

* Beastly run by Ingram on that TD.

* That Hill guy is something special.

Personally, it isn't the entire O line. It is specifically Bushrod and Peat. Peat was the one thing that jumped off the tv screen today. He struggled mightily.

But in the end, a win is a win and we are NFC South champs again. I'll take it! WHO DAT!! :bng:

Never thought I’d be saying we need Ginn back....but we need Ginn back...bad.

Yes week 15 vs Panthers.

I don't expect him back until Pittsburgh though.

Carolina twice doesn't seem so daunting now does it. If we come out strong like the 10 game streak, they have no chance. If we come out like the last 2 weeks, will make things more difficult. The Panties would love nothing else than to try to spoil our SB run.

they're all daunting, but they're all winnable. Look, this is our last road game of the year and we end up with the last two at home. I'll take that. Win this week and we have a great chance at ending 14-2

After today’s game we have our work cut out for us. I will be really interested to see if our team has the will to keep winning now that we locked up our division. We need a second wind and I hope we find it soon.

It’ll be close but it looks more like they end up at 11 or 12. Hard to move up the ladder this late in the year unless you’re pitching shutouts.

I think we will be anywhere from 7-9 after today, double check me though

today is the kind of game and win that builds character. I expect it will do a lot more for us

Stick with the studs that got us here. Start getting cute and end up like the Pats today and us last week. Can't rely on these rookies to bail us out. They are going to screw up. Heavy doses of MT, Kamara, MI and Taysum. Everybody else, maybe if we get a lead.

Payton, Lombardi, AND Brees need to put in the work to develop this guy into the successor to Drew Brees...

Taysom Hill's personality, energy, and athleticism is dynamic...

I truly suspect Payton's ulterior motive for getting him on the field is to get him acclimated to NFL game speed to help with that transition...

Brees has at least one more season in him, so I can see this future in 2020...

Only problem is he is not a young man. He'll be 29 next year. Not a great investment.

Beast, Steve Young was thirty (30) years old when he took over the 49ers - It's not the age, but the mileage...

Most of the teams we have beaten besides the rams have losing records. NFC sucks right now. Offense doesn’t get back to form an no way we can beat the Bears with their defense.

Our defense is better than the Rams and Trubiskey threw 3 picks tonight, and his lone PaTD was on a trick play to an offensive lineman - so factor that in as well...
