On to the Panthers

Re: On to the Panthers
they suck
|
Re: On to the Panthers
Take no division opponent lightly (see Tampa). The Kittens can't win the division however they can spoil our chances as the #1 seed.
Beat them into submission next Monday Night. |
Re: On to the Panthers
Brees era has seen many QB's and coaches come an go in the NFC South. These two are likely next.

Re: On to the Panthers
Another tough front seven. McCaffrey is playing great. A few good hits on Scam and I believe he will wave the flag.

If we play lights out Monday then week 17 will be meaningless. I think the Falcons or Bucs would be gunning for us, but Carolina will lie down- no fight in that team |

Re: On to the Panthers
McCaffrey scares me. Nothing else does with their offense as long as Scam is their QB. Being a division rival they will play us tough. They would love nothing more than be the reason we lose first seed. I expect a good showing from their defense and respect alot of those guys. But our defense needs to focus on eliminating McCaffrey and we will be fine.

Re: On to the Panthers
Come out with intensity and we win. Come out flat for a third time and it will be a trend...not good.

Re: On to the Panthers
we are 1 game under .500 lifetime against them...in 3 weeks should be one over

Re: On to the Panthers
Introducing the Panthers new head coach Mike McCarthy,DC Jim Haslett,QB Coach Jake Delhomme, TE Coach Wesley Walls, DB Coach Roman Harper.........It's where former Saints used to go to "GET FAMOUS"!

Re: On to the Panthers
I didn't know about this:"
For the second time in as many weeks, they brought in backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke to throw a Hail Mary. Newton’s completion percentage is a career-best 68.8 percent, but whether by design or necessity, he’s throwing more short passes to achieve that efficiency. The vertical element (long one of his strengths) is practically gone from the playbook, leaving him to get their yards in shorter bursts, and relying on the yards after catch skills of Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel." https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ers-struggles/ |

I lost a lot of respect for Brooks after that; he knew his shoulder was bad and should have benched himself so that the team would have a chance to make it to the playoffs. |

Re: On to the Panthers
"We aren’t winning again and we are about to get euthanized on national TV, hopefully to the extent that Ron is fired on the spot".
"Payton could suit up and play qb for the Aints and we still lose by 20". "Sadly, I think the Saints may put up 60 on us". It appears a lot Kitten fans have packed it in. |
Re: On to the Panthers
'Fans' is a strong word for the Carolina 'faithful'. They mimic their starting QB quite a bit. Loud and boastful when winning, hiding in shame when losing.
I worry about this game because it is a division game, not because of the talent shown on the field lately. |

Re: On to the Panthers
At home playing for their season we will get their absolute best. Match their emotion we win. Come put flat like the 4 quarters against Dallas and first two against Tampa we could lose. Armistead back should help, if he is...Tampa's offense is better than theirs but we could lose. We shouldn't, but we could.

Re: On to the Panthers
Meanwhile... Ban Hammer over at the huddle.
 How is Reid working out for them? Seeing now how he's performed and jelled with the locker room, I am kinda glad Saints passed on him. |

Re: On to the Panthers
Was Delhomme better than Scam is now for the Panties?
Jake Delhomme: Career Stats at NFL.com Cam Newton: Career Stats at NFL.com Scam is better, IMHO. Do you think SP would be able to elevate his play? |

Re: On to the Panthers
Throw stats out the window. This will be a fight from the first whistle.
I hope to see the role players on offense step it up. |

Re: On to the Panthers
Once again, is there cause for concern for health of Carolina Panthers’ offensive line?

1st - in run D (legit after 12 weeks) 2nd - points allowed per game (18 ppg) 2nd - sacks (35) 3rd - takeaways (19) 8th - total yards allowed per game Vonn Bell, Williams, Eli Apple & PJ Williams (stepped up his game) ---> these guys are playing GREAT football. I'm not the biggest Dennis Allen fan, however his defensive staff have done a tremendous job thus far. One game at a time, however if this thing runs through the New Orleans M/B Superdome ... boy. |
Re: On to the Panthers
Saints win on Monday ... 1st round bye (that's golden).
