I disagree.
Money wouldn't stop me from standing (or kneeling) for what I believe in most. Besides, we've seen that a player's actions can and do impact earning potential.

Teams can waive players without honoring contracts. Players can hold out without honoring contracts. The NFL is about two things - winning and money. It's less about about safety or getting calls right and more about sponsors and money - for the league and it's owners. Players make a fraction of that pie.

Should they be thankful to millions to play football? Yes and I'm sure they are. But the reality is that there's a real and sometimes fatal risk for a potential reward.
