this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; No secret I don't like Armstead's softness, "un"availability, nor the excuses Payton & local media make for him; we should've been consistent and traded his arse two seasons ago when trying toughen this team... Don't care how may A+ grades ...

Don't care how may A+ grades Mr. Glass gets, since the Big Mo his over/under per season has been 8 regular season games; Armstead is our most expensive player on a Games Played basis - more than Drew... And while we were overpaying for Warford - spending that kind of money on a guard (which I still agree with) spend the extra mil Sean on Zeitler, after all it's another man's money and you're a democrat... While I appreciate the PFF model and what they're trying to do, their system of subjective grading is flawed because it doesn't account for quality of opposition, health of players, and inclination of favoritism... Mention this because Unger is undervalued; truly thought we were done when Max went down cause after Brees, Unger is our MVP on offense; if Unger's not available for Pittsburgh, Wow, yeah, he's that important... Trading two for one picks is catching up to us because after Clapp, we have no draft picks being developed for depth on an aging offensive line... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

It is most important for Armstead to be as healthy as possible and ready to play by the Divisional Round, assuming we get that bye that I believe we are going to get. Fingers crossed. Maybe the Saints draft one (LT) in the 2nd round of next season. |

But, it's time to move Ramczyk (who graded extremely well even as a rookie at LT last year) to LT, find a RT which is easier for a rookie or a free agent, to transition... That will allow us to start to transition some of these players like Mike Thomas to contract extensions... |

Re: Worried about the Oline.
I would start Clapp and Tom next week. With Armstead and Peat capable of going out in a moments notice, they need the experience now. Hopefully, Bushrod will be back and Peat could be the first off the bench if needed.

Re: Worried about the Oline.
Hopefully Unger will be fine. It’s a concussion right? When Armstead is back we will play lights out. He really may be the team MVP. There was a very significant immediate drop off when he went down. Even Brees has looked average. He had a huge impact on the offense this year. Our deficiencies at WR while there weren’t nearly as glaring as they are now. Sucks he’s only good for 8 games a year. He will be 100% for the playoffs and we will be fine.
Looks bad now but better now than in the playoffs |
