Re: Observations from the Saints' 12-9 win against the Panthers

One thing this team is learning is how to win the hardnose football games.

We been accustom to winning the flashy finness ways but then they come up and punch us in the mouth we have to punch back and learning that RIGHT NOT before the play off is going to win us the SB this year.

- 12-2.
- Brees is average when pressured.
- The OL is in trouble with the injuries.
- The TE position is non-existent.
- Don't like how Thomas is acting after EVERY catch.
- The game is too big for the young WR's right now.
- Two big momentum plays from Hill in consecutive games.
- Should have kicked the extra point with 12 minutes to go and the lead.
- Slow subs/play calling costs at lesat one timeout every game.
- Need to give Ingram and Kamara at least 35 carries combined.

- Defense is playing hard, competing, and most importantly attacking.
- Apple has grown/progressed in New Orleans.
- Bell has stepped up big time lately.
- Davis has found his role.

The D has done a great job.

Time for the O to step it back up...

Possibility of One of Two Theories...

Brees/Payton lost their edge in the Dallas Game and have been playing scared since...

Brees and Payton are playing opossum with the remaining opponents and are waiting to strike in the tournament...

Some great points here but you answered the first point about Brees being average when pressured with 2 of your other points. TE non-existent and the game is too big for the young WR's. When the blitz is coming the receivers need to recognize it and turn around. Even Thomas missed one blitz when the DB blitz and Thomas kept running his route instead of becoming hot receiver 5 yards off the line.

Bell definitely made up for giving up that TD that led to us losing against the Bucs early on.
