Panthers safety Eric Reid: Fined $20,000 for 'legal' sideline tackle

Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid says he has been fined more than $20,000 by the NFL for a sideline tackle in Monday night's 12-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Reid revealed the fine Friday in a tweet that showed a video of the play and called it legal, noting it had not drawn a flag.

I don’t know about that play, but the one where Mike was on his knees and Reid came flying in with the attempted kill shot should have been flagged and fined.

Boohoo. Must be terrible. I don't feel bad when players get fined. They make truck loads of money. Complain to someone else. I'm sure he'll be okay. If he runs out of money, maybe he can sue all those who don't give a ****.

The video in the link isn't the one he was fined for, take a look it's Eric Reid's Twitter account and he's switched the videos because he's a lil *****.

That was not a legal hit. He launched himself into the Saints player after he was already out of bounds.

Well that was a late hit out of bounds AND should have been called.

Damn I hope the refs tomorrow aren't working for the other team. Screw Jerry's Refs. If we get Dallas in the dome.... it will be a different outcome.
