Also, I have a bad feeling Peat may have broken his arm or wrist.

Peat would be awful if true. absolutely awful. Could care less about that first part

It looked like Peat dislocated his thumb or something like that.

Looked more like his forearm/wrist. Typical luck for us.

I really want Teddy to stay. I hope they can find a way to make it happen. I think Drew has one more year in him and he should hang it up.

Just a reminder that Ingram needs 118 yards today to become our all-time leading rusher.

Playing behind a patchwork O line I think he looks pretty good. He's got good zip on the ball, he moves well to escape pressure and hasn't made any dumb decisions.

Michael Thomas is 24 yards from breaking Joe Horn’s single season receiving yards record.

He came in needing 24, he's got 2 for 12 so far.

Peat is too slow to play lt better suited at guard. Not saying im glad hes hurt by any stretch of the imagination but newton is not playing bad for a guy that hasnt played in years

Amazing. this is what happens when we take a single game, series, play and make it the entire book of work.

And now I look up and see you're comparing this QB to Cam Newton. Amazing.

Very laughable and I think you're series.

I know this game is a meaningless but the defense with all our starters active has been flat out embarrassed by an undrafted free agent making his first career start. I'm not sounding any alarms but this has been a pathetic performance and am a little concerned.

They have but I don't really care

I hate to say it, but Ronde Barber had a good point... The Saints D is playing it very vanilla with just 2 or 3 defensive play calls and not really doing much scheme-wise. Gotta shift back to preseason mindset for this game.

They're playing really vanilla, I'm not terribly surprised.

I totally agree with you there Railboss!!!

This is just painful, just want it to be over!

I wonder if SP has told the D not to worry too much!
Don't risk over stretching, getting any silly injuries etc.

Just a thought?

GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Exactly, you can't let yourself be worried about how this game looks. As long as we come out if it with no further injuries it's a success. Its completely meaningless otherwise.

It is important for Teddy to get the Reps in case the unthinkable happens.

So your telling me peat is better at lt than he is at guard? The d has this kid playing better than anyone would expect vanilla plays or not but idk who pissed in your corn flakes but im intitled to my opinion as are you. I dont agree with all the sh*t you say but i dont berate you

Lol come on JP. Surely you understand that this whole game is nothing more than a scrimmage for us. They're not doing anything special on either side of the ball. I've seen enough from Teddy today to make me feel comfortable with him being in there if it counts.

We look like we didn't even prepare for this game. I'm just hoping we avoid the blowout.

I'm thinking the only thing SP is thinking about is giving Teddy a load of pass plays. I don't think he cares what the score is.

What I am telling you is that one game does not make a season or career and to stand here and pretend that Peat is not a better LT than the guy we just got off the street is a terrible judgement by you. Peat has filled in at LT multiple times over the last two seasons and he has done really well.

The same and more to be said of the QB we will probably never see again.

Further, there's a reason a QB who hasn't played before in the NFL, switched teams or hasn't played in some time sometimes fairs better for a few games or half a season... it is because there is limited tape for Defenses to pick up their tendencies, etc. That's why there is a sophomore slump. It is not because the QB all of sudden ****s the bed and forgets how to play it is because defenses have a lot of tape to look at and develop specific ways to defend them.

I would never take serious someone looking at one game and asserting that game is indicative of how someone will play next week, next year, etc.

The same goes with an NFL season. You look at the entire body of work. You don't look at each week and decide someone is a SB contender this week, but if they lose next week they're the worst team since sliced bread. That happens far too often. You're doing that here, in my opinion.

Teddy hasn’t looked great.. this was supposed to be a big game from him so I expected more.. so far, not impressed with Teddy.

I really like what I have seen considering how terrible the line has played for him

Somewhat agree...
Clapp has looked awful and before he got hurt Peat was bad. Peat can’t play LT, he is a great guard tho.

Going to be more interesting to see what teams win this afternoon, see how the playoff brackets shape up.

I have to admit though would love to see Teddy throw a few TD's in the 2nd half.
