Observation:

A meaningless game was played and completed without any serious injuries.

Anything else important? Nope.

you think Sean didn't want this and to have the ability to question them about who they are before the divisional game?

Peat and Okafor ok?

Secondary was awful but they didn’t have the benifit of all the guys up front to help take pressure off them. Shows how important our front is.

Re: Observations from the Saints' Loss vs Panthers

I understand it was a meaningless game, but playing our entire starting defense for the entire first half and going into half time 23-0 down was not good.

No pressure on the QB
Lattimore getting beat deep
DB's not turning to look for the ball and causing PI's
McCaffrey trucking our D lineman on short yardage situations

They better get it sorted.

I'm OK with this, a humbling before the playoffs. We've been at the top of the power rankings for far too long. Let's go into the playoffs hungry. Let the media build up everyone but us. Who dat!

I was just going to post something similar! Payton was upset in the press conference, but I think he was actually pleased with how the game went. It gives the coaching staff the ability to create urgency with the team, and the players can't sit back and believe they are invincible. I think this was actually the best outcome before the playoffs.
