Saban has final say.
AP reports Dolphins HC Nick Saban and new GM Randy Mueller were not available for questions Monday but issued statements through the team. ''I am looking forward to my responsibilities with the Dolphins,'' Mueller said. ``This is one of the great franchises in the NFL with an unmatched tradition of success, and it's going to be special for me to be a part of that legacy. Beginning with Wayne Huizenga, the organization is well-known for being first class in every respect, and I know everyone here is committed to working together for the long-term success of the franchise.'' Said Saban: ``He is respected throughout the league and has a strong background in player personnel. He will help us in our continuing efforts to build a team that will not only achieve success, but sustain it on a long-term basis.'' Mueller agreed to a three-year deal worth approximately $750,000 annually. Unlike when he was in New Orleans, Mueller will not have final say on personnel issues with the Dolphins. That power lies with Saban.

Same as with Belichek in NE, Saban is a Belichek disciple and still regularly speaks to him. No big surprise. It's odd though not that they are division rivals, I wonder how much they will talk.
