So, is Anzalone's complete season, healthy, an indictment of UofFlorida's quality of care of its players or quality of care of NCAA players as a whole?

He has in other interviews earlier stated that the first surgeries he had on the shoulder was quite botched. Shoulders are complex as hell so I'm glad it seems like they've got it right the last time.

See, that right there that you point out, Crusader, is one of several reasons why my attitude has changed about compensation for collegiate football players...

An unaccountable NCAA makes billions of dollars off the infrastructure of tax-payer dollars through the use of "amateur" athletics...

Many of these very young boys have little to no quality of healthcare commensurate to the revenue their performances generate for member universities...

These issues are what our political leadership could fix quickly, with bipartisan participation...

And now I’m going to have to kill the writer of the article.

So what happened to the other LB from FL that flamed out with us?
Ronald Powell, LB at NFL.com

Maybe just sucked?

Smash, Ronald Powell was just out of HS when he, by reports, had a devastating knee surgery; but it goes to my point that he likely got the same quality of care from UofFlorida that Anzalone rec'd...

Anzalone at least played a few games each season, Powell barely played because of his knee injury and I'd love to have docs other than those in Gainesville review Powell's medical charts and offer a critique of plan of care...

Injuries aside, AA has really played well this season. Diagnoses, reacts quickly with that speed and hits hard. Coach Nolan has done a wonderful job with him. When he puts it all together, he'll become a solid LB.

Serve me up a big order of crow :p.

Its not always the pro teams get it right either. We have a very recent example with Breaux.
