It can be used to score the ball such as a field goal or extra point too. Doug Flutie's last career NFL play was a drop kick to score an extra point in New England. It's the only scoring NFL drop kick in the Super Bowl NFL Era.

I know what it is. My post was questioning the lack of execution. Dude kicked the ball straight up in the air to a starting WR (Beasley) like a fair catch. Use your soccer skills and hope for a "one hop off the turf".

C'mon, gotta give your team a chance to make a play (see the great Thomas Morestead in SB). Seachickens needs to look for a kicker replacement this off season. 50 year old SJ ain't the answer.
