Re: Saints -8.5 vs. Philly
The Eagles are a pretty good team but they've been on the road for a while and will now have to go and face the toughest environment in the leauge. They are just about out of running backs going against the best run defence which gives us a good shot at making them one dimensional. One dimensional teams seldom fair very well. We finally seem able to create good pressure with Cam, Okafor, Oneymata, Davenport and Big Rankins! I think the outlook is pretty good for us!
I hope our guys have gotten healthy and if they havn't take whatever painkillers are needed. Surgeries and rehab can wait a couple of weeks. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

The team that scores the most points will win.

Re: Saints -8.5 vs. Philly
I give that Philly secondary very little shot on Sunday & Smallwood will not be able to effectively run on the Saints front 7.
When given time, Brees will absolutely carve them up. Remember Ted Ginn Jr is back. 8.5 spread sounds about right. |

Re: Saints -8.5 vs. Philly
The health of our o-line is the big question. They have tough and formidable defenders on their line. We need to protect Drew and create lanes and I hope they are healthy and ready to do it. It's the only aspect of the game that worries me and if we can't protect Drew or establish the run they have a chance.

Re: Saints -8.5 vs. Philly
Tate was brand new to the offense last go round...he's been getting more involved lately. Lattimore on Alshon I'll take. Bell or a LB vs Ertz, Ertz gets that matchup. Apple or PJ vs Tate, toss up. We'll need to account for Sproles, too. I don't expect we get a ton of pressure on Foles...the Bears didn't and they have Mack, Floyd, etc, so we better cover in the secondary.
Luckily, I'm not the DC. Any other week I'd be golden... |

Heard an interesting stat last from either Buck or Troy last night and can't recall it today. Something about Foles's success vs zone defense. Anyone else catch that?

Re: Saints -8.5 vs. Philly
I'm having trouble uploading the video byte but per Katzenstein, Peat is in some sort of club cast. Not sure what type of impact this will have on his blocking. Feagles D line could hunt here.
