Forgive me ,sir, but those articles don't prove anything o said is wrong. Jersey sales and ticket sales have nothing to do with national popularity. Adult fans hardly buy any merchandise. The Rams fan base, like most of the teams who started before the Super bowl era, are t like 23 year old Seahawks fans.
The Saints are only currently having the most success they've ever had.once Brees is gone, they won't get it back. THE Rams were popular in the 40s,50s,60s,70s,80s and are on the way to being popular again.
But at least for this game, the Saints should win..but only to lose to Pats

First off, welcome back Will, or Teddybarexx.

Next, the Rams have been back for 2 years and don't come close to selling out their own building. Why in the world do you think they have a national following?
Second, why are Seattle fans 23? They've been around for 40 years and in 3 Super Bowls
Last, I saw about 75,000 fans wearing logo'd shirts, hats and everything else Sunday, and 90% of them were adults unless they changed the drinking age at the dome.

What? Where did you get that?

The Rams are one of the least popular teams in the NFL and have been for a couple decades now.

Just a quick google search...

A buncha different ways to measure popularity from Facebook fan pages and Google searches to ticket sales and prices and all of them show the same thing. The Rams are one of the least popular teams in the NFL.

People in the stands aren't even one percent of all the people who watch football. Doesn't disprove me. Most of my adult friends like sports but don't get silly fan stuff.
I have never been to this site till I signed up..which means that many more people have similar view points that don't agree with yours.
No, jersey sales do not prove the numbers of a fan base. They only prove a trendy purchase. I own stuff from many teams.i like color and design and logo history.

No, these are just trendy surveys thst have nothing to do with national viewpoints or numbers over the history of the game. The Rams have been a successful franchise for basically their entire history except for the 90s and early 2000s,.they won a Super Bowl in the 90s and are obviously on the upswing again. The league wouldn't move them and keep them if it wasn't so.
The Saints are only trendy popular now, only now.
Who was more popular when the Saints were in the Rams division? Pretty obvious answer. Who won more? The Saints are the current trendy team. The Rams are the historic team that are obviously rising again. It's just how sports works

Again, where are you getting your information? Everything from jersey sales to internet traffic shows this just isn't true. It was certainly true 20+ years ago but it's just not true today.

When the Rams bailed out on LA, they lost the majority of their fans (I was there and saw it). When they Rams bailed out on St. Louis, they again, lost the majority of their fans.

Today, not 20 years ago, the Rams are one of the least popular teams in the league. To say the Rams have more fans than the Saints have ever had and ever will have isn't supported by anything.

Most of your adult friends obviously are not fans of any specific team. Just like you obviously. Why is it that you buy "silly fan stuff" from teams other than the Saints, but then claim other "real" fans do not purchase fan gear?

You don't make sense.

That's the same point I made earlier that was ignored.

So you dismiss everyone's quantified replies and provide zero quantification for your own claims. That is called self rationalization, not logic.

Rationalization - In psychology and logic, rationalization or rationalisation (also known as making excuses[1]) is a defense mechanism in which controversial behaviors or feelings are justified and explained in a seemingly rational or logical manner to avoid the true explanation, and are made consciously tolerable—or even admirable and superior—by plausible means.[2] It is also an informal fallacy of reasoning.[3]
