On the Eagles final "drive" they had only one play that gained positive yardage. They got a 16 yard reception from Ertz. That's it. They also got 15 yards on a penalty, Pretty much, half their "drive".
From that, we're supposed to believe, had Jeffery made the catch, the Eagles would've completed the drive with a touchdown, despite the fact they hadn't done anything for 3 quarters. And, if the Eagles were to have scored a touch down, we're supposed to believe the Saints wouldn't have had time to get back into field goal range, despite the fact that, the Saints had gained 399 yards in just 3 quarters and Drew's had 7 come from behind wins already this season. The narrative the sports media is pushing is; The Rams win by 8 and it was dominating. The Saints win by 6 and it was flat and unimpressive. The media loves their story lines regardless of what actually happened. |
