WR's and KR's

If we end up getting Hakim (haven't heard anything in days), who do you think our #3 WR is? Better yet, with Hakim, who is our kick and punt returner?!?! With Henderson, Beer Man, and Hakim, wow, talk about a headache for opposing special team coaches.

KCChiefs.com reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil has hinted the team is unlikely to sign free agent WR Freddie Mitchell (Eagles). The Chiefs are instead attempting to sign free agent WR Az-Zahir Hakim (Lions). "Nah, I think we'll just do one, though I'd like to have them both," Vermeil said regarding a possible Mitchell signing.

From the looks of things, Hakim appears to be going to the Chiefs.

RE: Re: RE: WR

True papz, being a wide receiver in the NFL is about so much more than just being fast. Devery never had great hands when he was at LSU but his eye-popping speed made it easy to overlook his lack of catching ability. However, I think he will be the #3 receiver this year because his hands aren't awful, they're just not great; and once again... his speed is so ridiculous that you have to find a way to get his butt on the field.

But anyways I have been extremely disappointed with MLewis the last couple of seasons because he had shown so much promise early on and then just seemed to lose his sense of urgency or something. Maybe he felt he had proven himself with the first season he had with the Saints, and then after that he just felt he didn't have to prove anything else. WRONG. I'm extremely tired of seeing his scared @$$ running out of bounds 7 yards after he catches every single punt. It's like he forgot how to play the game. And I agree with AllSaints, I believe that Stecker is a good option, not only on KR, but also as back-up RB. I don't understand why it was such a big deal to go out and pick up Antowain Smith. I mean Stecker averaged 4.2 ypc last season. He showed good quickness and toughness. I think he played extremely well, especially for a BACKUP. But whatever, the FO didn't ask me.

I wouldn't mind seeing Devery at PR if he can do it. But ideally I would like for Michael Lewis to return to his 2002 totals which were almost DOUBLE his stats last year.
