The play I wish we could have back is the low ball to Michael Thomas on the bubble pass. I have to see it again to understand why it was so low. Usually should be money for Brees. That thing would have been 8+ yards and clock running.

Rules need to change in the NFL. give coaches a chance to have a play reviewed.

That ball should have never been thrown. It should have been a running play to keep the clock running. It was a suck ass call.

If that's the case, there are never interference calls because the two players always arrive at the same time.

To make matters worse, apparently after the game Marcus Peters had the gall to approach Sean Payton talking **** and a little scuffle broke out between players.

Do you guys think that after this horrid display of officiating that it may help get some new rules on the books? Like, perhaps the opportunity to throw the red flag to challenge when pass interference isn't called and there would then be a booth review...

Hats off to a great season. Both the O and D fought hard all year and had amazing results. Even falling short today there should be no shame on both sides of the ball. Fans should be proud it's not like the days of old and we should stay in contention for years to come. Looking forward to the draft and next season.

No. It would be harder to fix games.

Agree. I'll stay on B&G and watch Saints game but I'm back to my player kneeling for the Anthem mode. I watch the Saints only....from now on.

The Saints still won, in my opinion. I'm not angry with the Saints. I'm angry with the refs. It was our game and we won it, no matter what the refs say.

I AGREE! WE HAD AN AMAZING SEASON AND POST SEASON AND A "NO CALL" RUINED EVERYTHING!

Ill be rooting for the Saints again next season!!!

Re: Game Day Thread NFCCG New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams

We still have to learn as an organization to never let the game come down to the officiating - ever.

If we give Goodell and his legion a chance, we'll take it in the arse everytime - Just a horrible, horrible officiating effort...

But we were out of sync on offense, not getting plays into the huddle in a timely fashion, kicking FGs instead of PATs, trying to run cutesy plays on 3rd and critical plays...

Can never let it come down to officiating - those part-time lard arses will screw you everytime...

Re: Game Day Thread NFCCG New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams

Brees and the offense did absolutely nothing in the second half, we shouldn't have let the refs be the cause with the game so close.

A TD in the 4th quarter wins it for us, Brees couldn't even hit a wide open receiver.

Incomplete with 2 mins to go on low pass to Thomas, missing wide open receivers on third and long.

We’ve been out of sync on offense since Thanksgiving.

That's all well and good but it wasn't like the call could have been an error and can be passed off as such. It was a blatant non-call which was clearly visible and ignored so I wish people would stop coming out with trite sayings like 'there are bad calls in every game' and
'Don't let it come down to the refs'.

A touchdown on either of those first two drives and the game is different. That’s why you can’t settle for FGs in games like this.

Re: Game Day Thread NFCCG New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams

Their O-line players were allowed to hold the entire game. Even Gurley and Anderson were holding our players who were blitzing. I don't know the stats but were there any holding calls? If they make a just a few obvious calls Rams don't score 26 points. No way...

While we all know this game was decided by the refs, but the offense just did not play well. This game should have been done by half time.

I think it’s time for Drew to hang it up, let’s see what Payton can do with Teddy. Have to be able to throw the ball deep in this game and Drew’s arm just can’t get it there late in the season.

I for one am not going to dwell on it, was a good season and we got robbed hopefully the league changes something because of it.

We didn't let the refs do anything. Nothing we could have done would have changed the outcome. This game was rigged from start to finish. Full stop.

The Saints need to hang a banner in the SuperDome. 2018-19 NFC Champions.

But for the refs, the offense played well enough to win. Brees at his worst is better than Teddy at his best. The way this game ended it wouldn't surprise me if Brees retires.

I just keep coming back to the fact that we had the ball first in OT. Forget everything that happened in regulation. Score a TD and we win. Problem is that our offense just isn’t automatic anymore. I don’t know what the problem is but we ran out of gas two months ago.

Brees has been off for months, O line isn't as dominant as it was early on.

On the third and longs, Brees went for a covered Arnold, when Tre'quan was wide open on a post route through the middle.

On the very next play, Brees missed a wide open Ginn that would have got a first down.

Yes the refs screwed us very badly, but I said Brees had to play better for us to win this game - he missed throws and took sacks, Then all of a sudden forgot how to take a sack in OT and threw a duck.

We might need to simplify the offense a bit, at least some of the time. I get Brees is one of the best at going through reads, but with the speed of today's game and with a guy like Donald coming after you, gotta make the offense easier to execute.

That’s a good point. I know it’s sacrilegious to say this, but Brees is very quickly moving into game-manager territory. This offense is so hot and cold now.

Re: Game Day Thread NFCCG New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams

I do not really want to talk.
No one does.

The SAINTS DID NOT lose.
The coin toss did not go their way.
Which team gets the coin toss, WINS!
I always say I do not do halftimes.
Regular season halftimes are just the same.
Coin toss winner, wins the game.

Rams and Saints were so equally matched as KCChiefs were almost equally matched to Patriots.

NO TEAM CAN MATCH BELICHECK AND STAFF AND BRADY AND TEAM.

Luck, yeah is a huge part of ‘this NFL game.
I can never believe the pure luck, good calls, go thePatriots waylije tonight. They won the coin toss.
Of course.

Saints area hard luck team. Calls, lol, calls....what a joke.
I swear Saints could have a another team do fm pull, stomp on them a chop block all at one time and more and refs won’t see it.

I really, honest opinion, thought the Saints would pull an ugly , close W.
Good enough.
Get to the SB .
Lose in that game.
I could live with that.
KCChiefs or NEPats would smash these Saints.
I am not downing the Saints, but KC Chiefs are that good.
NEPats have been a high scoring, winning team these Brady years going on 15 plus years now.

Rams won , but NEPats are going to smash them into the turf.
