NFL’s worst nightmare unfolds in New Orleans

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It was a piss poor call for sure but let’s face it, we should never have trusted the nfl to begin with. They always have their hand in the cookie jar. The nfl is no more legit then the WWE. ...

It was a piss poor call for sure but let’s face it, we should never have trusted the nfl to begin with. They always have their hand in the cookie jar. The nfl is no more legit then the WWE. Idk why I still watch tbh. I love my saints but week after week I see teams getting screwed over by the refs/nfl. It’s all about the money.

Every damn year it's something;

2010 - eliminated by 7-9 Hawks
2011 - Vernon Davis
2013 - Hawks and their crowd
2017 - Minnesota Meltdown
2018 - Bad offense and the biggest non call ever

Re: NFL’s worst nightmare unfolds in New Orleans

Gonna get on my SoapBox, again, irregardless if it annoys some, most, or any...

First, have no problem, whatsoever, unmasking a NFL game official by name and calling him out for a poor officiating performance, especially in light of what happened yesterday...

The NFL makes those names public, he/she knows they're on a nationally/regionally televised broadcast; they know for what they're signing up for in the gig...

And it's all good to email, twitter post, or for those that actually still write letters, memos as I still do, to contact media outlets, the Saints offices, or NFL offices to state a grievance about officiating...

But to post someone's Home address, telephone number, where their children, grandchildren, spouse live is totally not acceptable...

Let me just throw this very plausible scenario out there for you...

Suppose an eminent threat is made to that individual with location referenced - it then has to be investigated. Local authorities (resources) will need to be called in to asset the threat...

During the course of the investigation online media is discovered, that's over the wire and that brings in Federal Authorities (more resources)...

Best case scenario, nothing becomes of threat to individual or family...

But valuable resources will be spent on an investigation that must have closure - remember the scene in National Treasure where Harvey Keitel's FBI character says "Ben, someone has to go to jail"?

That's an example of closure, these guys don't appreciate their time wasted on an idiot when they need to be doing counter-terrorism...

Example of Who's Affected by Your Careless Actions...

First contact Feds will need to make will be to the owners and administrators of a site where that person's address was disclosed...

So now Halo et al will have to spend uncompensated time to cooperate with authorities...

That means he's not taking care of his existing business, but is not available for new business opportunities; no he doesn't get lunch and an ice cream under the pressure of non hindering an investigation...

So just factor that the next time you take things to far...

Look, I was as jacked-up for this game as I've been for one in a long time; and, Like many of you I was equally devastated with the loss...

We all have crap that eats at us daily and the Saints take that away for a few hours on gamedays...

But don't, Don't, let it all that irrational crappe wrap-up and define you into terrible mistakes that will affect others...

Thanks for hearing me out on this...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

And while no solace will ever take away the sting of this loss, serious, still respected folks are even commenting on this game...

Re: NFL’s worst nightmare unfolds in New Orleans

Harassing the ref who missed the call is completely ridiculous. I'm a passionate fan. I love the Saints. The no call was horrible. But that man and his family don't deserve this BS.

And that info needs to be taken down.

Wtf is wrong with you people? Disgusting.

Glad the fan base will be known for death threats and other low life behavior. Great job.

You're free to think whatever you want of me, but you won't change my mind. I don't feel so much as a split second's worth of guilt or regret for posting his info. I wasnt even the first person to discover it. I found it on another board, verified the info, then passed it along. The man willfully cheated, whether it was his own idea or at the request of the league. Either way, he had the opportunity to do what was clearly right and chose not to. That just doesn't sit well with me. And since the league wont do anything to make that subhuman piece of **** pay for his crime, I will do my part. Everyone involved with that travesty needs to realize that they can't just sweep it under the rug. You know as well as I do that that's exactly what they'll try to do. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Let me pitch you a "what if" scenario. What if this goes unchecked and unpunished? As a result, the league, and/or biased refs grow more brazen in their rigging of games. The NFL, which is already in trouble for a multitude of reasons, becomes the laughingstock of professional sports leagues and eventually dies, and people like us...people who have invested decades into their fandom, are left out in the cold. Sound ok to you? Anybody? Yeah, I doubt it.

If Halo wants to remove my post, that's his call. But I will continue to share it anywhere and everywhere I can. I've already shared it with several coworkers today and encouraged them to do the same.

There have been many times when I wished I could reach through my tv and choke the life out of a ref, but never once have I considered something this drastic, because the situation was never this bad. This **** though..this is FUBAR, and I won't sit idly by and let it happen.

Re: NFL’s worst nightmare unfolds in New Orleans

I see my post has already been edited to remove his info. Nice job.

Those of you who wont do anything about this bull****, you're nutless, and you deserve to dwell in the misery of this loss for a long time to come.
