The Good News (I know, I know)

Is that it appears the entire free world is with us on this one. EVERYBODY watching that game is up in arms lamenting the fact that we got screwed. Commentators, hosts, current and former players, celebrities, EVERYBODY saw us get completely and blatantly hozed.

Maybe this will be a catalyst for change - like full time officials and more replay possibilities or more cameras at games for more angles. Who knows.

But it sure doesn't look like this one is going to get swept under the rug like the Dez Bryant "no catch" BS call a few years back that cost Dallas a game.

Why should the refs be rewarded with full time compensation for not doing their job? I thought the NFL was all about safety! If they are you don't miss a blatant call.

I seen refs throw a roughing the passer on Jones in the chief game and in the Saints game when Drew threw that interception he was blatantly hit in the head. I am starting to believe these games are rigged. The saints had to play against the refs in both of there home game playoff, wtf is up on dat?

Whoever win the super bowl should have an asterisk beside it

A catalyst for change is great and all but not at the expense of what is probably a once and a lifetime opportunity for some of these players. This team will never again play together as a unit. Legacies are effected by this ****. It was one of Drew’s last chances to get a ring. The last chance for Watson. Payton’s will change too.
It’s going to be interesting to see how they bounce back next year. Jordan said the refs have always made it tough on the Saints. I hope other players don’t get this in their heads and choose another team because of it.
This was bad. The NFL should have let them come out of the locker room and finish out the game with that penalty enforced.

You didn’t see the one in the second quarter when Suh hit him full force 3 seconds after the ball was in the air? They games are scripted. Not totally rigged yet, your team still has to be competitive but after that the NFL manipulates the schedule and uses the refs to put the teams they want in the best position to win.
I’ve said it for a few years now and y’all told me to get a foil hat. Tonight is proof

I never believed in games being rigged or fixed. That all changes now. That was PI no matter which era of football you look at or played.

The truth is you have no clue how much the refs get paid.
The whole full time, part time thing, is pointless.
Put 2 and 2 together for once..it's staged. They call the game exactly as told. New Orleans has purposely been kept from.a super bowl, all but one time after Katrina and a rebuilt stadium to generate money. If games were played out naturally, every team in the league would have been closer to a SB a couple of times by now. It has nothing to do with teams being screwed. All the owners know it's up to the league, not them. Saints lost last year because the player was told to play stupid and miss. That's a sane, intelligent answer. It's the crazy people who believe it's not manipulated

Online sports gaming forgiving debts, billboards in Atlanta, and this thing is picking up some steam. The Super Bowl has already been tainted. Weather he admits it or not this is the last type of publicity he wants leading up to Super Bowl. It’s already taken 24 hours out of the celebration. Every day leading up to the game is supposed to about what the competing teams accomplished. It ain’t happening. Guarantee you the Rams players don’t like it.

no player gives a damn. they get paid millions, win or lose. the commissioner doesnt care. he's a puppet who takes orders. the league did this to make you waste time talking about pointless crap. This game was decide long ago in a office. its entertainment, not competition

Re: The Good News (I know, I know)

I do not care about change unless the commissioner changes the outcome of this game. I am mostly agnostic about the refs calls during the year. They call some for us, they call some against us. But, in a playoff game, it matters. Our season was on the line, everything this team fought so hard for this year was on the line, the career records of all the players on this team were on the line.

The fact that the NFL admits it blew the call means they need to take corrective action ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF THIS GOD**** GAME.

THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE TO THESE PLAYERS, THESE COACHES, THE SAINTS ORGANIZATION, TO THESE FANS.

If the commissioner did that, then everyone would begin to demand that every missed ref call be reviewed. Every player on every team would demand that the no-calls / bad calls be reviewed ... because the teams would know that the league might reverse the outcome of the game. So, why go forward with the game? Might as well review the play. Coaches should be able to throw the challenge flag and have a call reviewed ( maybe limited to certain type plays ).

Just wondering what the reaction would be if the Rams get a no call in the SB similar to the one we had and they don't win the SB because of it!

The media would feast on that I think?

GEAUX SAINTS!!!

I suspect you support the Foxes and still have the Premiere League to watch after this harsh ending for the Saints. VAR is being used in MLS and will be used in Europe on critical game changing plays. Problem is the Referee has the discretion to call for it. Oh and i'm suffering with the Magpies this season seems we're back fighting relegation.
