this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; i was pretty shocked when we left the draft without a new TE. then kind of pissed off that we got a bunch of guys that we ended up letting go. felt like there were a lot of good prospects ...

i was pretty shocked when we left the draft without a new TE. then kind of pissed off that we got a bunch of guys that we ended up letting go. felt like there were a lot of good prospects in that draft. and it's not like we needed the second coming of jimmy. we really just needed someone who could play physical and catch a few passes. pulling for this guy to make the leap but really shocked we went into the season the way we did at TE.

Tight ends are hard to find....especialy via the draft that aren’t projects. I’d say put some more meat on him, coach him, he will be as good as any you’ll find...and more importantly, he’ll be our go. I think he’d do as good as any we’ll get draft or recycle.

Agreed. Geaux back and watch the film (Tivo) you'll see he had some really tough throws that he made closer with amazing effort - that's what stands out to me and why I like this youngster going forward...
