It’s just sad and disappointing this team will be in the playoff history books 2 years in a row. MT said it best, all the hard work the players put in, only to go out like that.

On to the draft.

We went 13-3. We made it to the last round of the playoffs with the only other team that’s 13-3. We led that other 13-3 team until the very end. We did not lose that game. What more do you want? Do you expect us to ride a 20 point lead all game every game? You people got spoiled. We have accomplished more with much less personnel wise.

Just seemed like when Taysom came in the game there was a lot of confusion where everyone should line up. Rhythm looked off entire game.

Found this:twisted:

The misidentification led to conspiracy theories about McKinnely's involvement, due to his time spent as a player with the Rams and Atlanta Falcons. McKinnely's Wikipedia page was the subject of constant edits throughout the day, at one point referring to him as legally blind, another saying he was an "undercover referee working a special assignment to market the Rams."

McKinnely was a member of a Thursday Night Football crew during a 2017 Saints loss to the Atlanta Falcons, after which Payton questioned the officiating. He was also the official who ruled Broncos player Justin Simmons inbounds as he returned a blocked extra point for two points during a game in 2016.

UNACCEPTABLE!!!:rocket::fuming:
In no way should a former player be able to call(Aikman) or OFFICIATE a game for teams that they have previously played for. It's BS:bs:

How do you not make this rule when you invent the game of football. It’s such an obvious conflict of interest I just assumed it wasn’t allowed.
The NFL is broken and it starts with Goodell. Too much authority falls to one man.

It was the dang eclipse. You could feel it pulling and getting stronger the entire game. When I walked out of the Dome and saw that ridiculous blood red moon hovering over the city, directly over the Dome, I realized what had been happening to us inside the Dome the entire time that we were in there for the game.

I am still mad as hell about the non-call, but after a day to think about the game my fury is now directed 100% at Sean Payton.

I lay this loss 100% at his feet; the game should never have come down to that non-call.

When Ginn made the catch that had the Saints in the redzone the score was tied, there was under 2:00 minutes and the lambs had a single time out.

SP had to get cute. He should have called 3 straight runs; hell I would have been thrilled if he had the Saints in a victory formation.

There was 1:45 on the clock, kneel or hand the ball to Ingram or Kimara; lambs burn their final timeout.

Do the same thing on 2nd down and clock doesn't quit running until the Saints are ready to kick the GW FG.

Lambs have maybe 30 seconds to get in FG range without any timeouts.

To quote Forrest Gump,"That's all I have to say about that."

The play called was a run with a slant option. One of the reporters confirmed this, I believe Mike Tripplet. Drew changed the play when he saw 8 men in the box to throw the ball. Not on Sean Payton. That play works 95% of the time just a bad throw by Drew. All the blame is still on the blatant missed calls.
