SAINTS G SETTERSTROM NAMED TO ALL-NFL EUROPE TEAM

The NFL Europe League announced its annual awards at the World Bowl Media Day and Saints G Chad Setterstrom was named to the All-NFL Europe League team.

Setterstrom was allocated to NFL Europe on January 14, 2005 and assigned to the Amsterdam Admirals. He started all 10 games for the Admirals and helped pave the way to a 6-4 record and a berth in World Bowl XIII.

Setterstrom has spent the past two seasons in New Orleans. He was on the Saints practice squad most of last season before being elevated to the active roster late in the season. Chad spent the 2003 season on the Saints reserve/injured list.

World Bowl XIII between the Thunder and Amsterdam Admirals for the NFL Europe League title will be played this Saturday in Dusseldorf. FOX-TV (WVUE-TV in the New Orleans area) will broadcast the game in the United States at 11 am CT with Curt Menefee and Brian Baldinger calling the action.

Saints players participating in the World Bowl are Setterstrom and T Ben Archibald for Amsterdam while QB Chris Finlen will play for Berlin (7-3), which posted the league's best record during the 10-game regular season.
