I'm still waiting to hear what "players" @nflcommish spoke to. Certainly not any of the usual suspects. Odd that the guy who constantly discusses the integrity of the shield is so quick to lie to the whole world's media at the Super Bowl.

He had information that revealed CTS as a cause of suicide, domestic violence and premature death.
HE LIED ABOUT IT. He had video evidence of not one but TWO females (that we know of) involved in violent altercations with players - One a straight up knock out punch. HE LIED ABOUT IT. He needed to "prove" he was "protecting" the game by stopping a "bounty program" by the Saints (apparently the only team involved). HE LIED ABOUT IT. Why are we surprised by any of this?? |

How he kept his job after colluding with certain members of another franchise in a foiled coverup of a domestic violence event is still unfathomable. But this country forced a sitting U.S. President (Nixon) to resign for lying about a coverup of some covert political break-in/spying, can we not hold a commissioner of a football league to the same standard to at least tell the freaking truth? Saints loss, Good Luck Rams, that’s that. All Saints fans may not be where I am in the process, but this bullshinski of lies, lies, lies by Goodell, paid handsomely by owners to do so, must have accountability and reckoning at some point, right? I hold no ill will against the Rams. However, I hope that the Patriots blow them out and the world says that the Saints would have made it a better game because they were the better team.

No!!! roger goTOHELL, I ain't getting over it. I did not watch any of your sorry ass Pro Bowl or it's commercials that you ruined years ago. I would only hoped that all of our players had refused to go. And I ain't watching SB lllie either, or it's over rated and overpriced commercials. I'll watch but won't be emotionally invested any longer. It's all rigged like wrestling, now we know for certain. Goodell is the minion of the owners, he's a paid huckster that allows the NFL to preach one thing yet do what they want. It's all a LIE.

For what it's worth... The no call is on the front page of the NYT again today. For the third or fourth time. I don't think we made the front page of NYT that many times in 2009 or 2006.

When Roger was finally forced to open his mouth, he didn't do terribly. But still it was a big nothingburger. He clearly sees improving the officiating and rulesets as a chore, hindrances he doesn't want to deal with. For me it has moved beyond a Saints issue, the entire league and the other teams are just waiting their turn for this thing to throw them under the bus. Just wait until we have an NFL team in Vegas. Oh boy.

Go back to the Eagles game and the Alshon Jeffery "through his hands" miss. Was it really a "miss"? Sports Gambling, how many millions of dollars were at stake? How much would one "well timed miss" cost? You've heard the expression "Follow The Money" soon it will lead right to the cradle of gambling Las Vegas!!
