Now this bowl of crap is over with, lets talk a min about McVay.
How much of the success of this team is really him?
Is his coaching staff more responsible? I seriously have some questions about him even though he is young and only been HC for 2 years now. I am of the opinion right now management and Jeff Fisher simply gave him a winning deck of cards loaded with a bunch of aces. Thats how I feel that ride is going. Only a matter of when you run out of aces and its him that has to find more. |

Bang Bang McVay
Los Angeles Rams’ head coach Sean McVay is facing some criticism for what he said about the officiating in today’s NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints and their fans (and the rest of the NFL, really) are furious with a no-call on a blatant pass interference penalty by the Rams’ defensive backfield on a key third-down conversion attempt late in the fourth quarter. McVay, though, said after the game that he respects the job the NFL’s officials did during today’s game. “I thought it was a bang-bang type play. The one thing I respect about the refs today is that they let the guys compete and they let the guys play,” McVay said. “I thought Nickell Robey made a nice play. They snapped it on a quick snap, had a little wheel route coming out of the backfield. Thought it was a competitive type play. Certainly I’m not going to complain about the way that was officiated. I thought that it was a competitive play.” |

He is a much younger Marty Schottenheimer or Marv Leeis. His career playoff record should be 1-3. His team folded last year at home against the Falcons and they folded again tonight. He is a below average coach with a loaded roster that he cant motivate. He will be out of the league ina few years.
The future of the NFL is not offenses that score 1 point for very decade their coach had lived. |

What I think to. This years ride may be as good as it gets for them.
I am now wondering what if Chicago had beaten Philly, Chicago could of very well eliminated them seeing obviously Dallas wasnt as they choke by time the divisional comes or before. |

Free agency got him to the SB. Under the big lights he wilted and was out coached. Let’s see how well he does with a target on his back.

Just like there are system QBs, there are system coaches. Eventually, the opposition figures our your system and it ain't so pretty.
McVey looked like a genius when playing division opponents games against teams that "sucked" and non-conference games against teams with no defense. The Chicago and Super Bowl games exposed the team and McVay for what they really are. All things considered the Saints' D shut them down as well. Next season will tell how smart the wonder boy is. I have a feeling that they may follow the example of the Eagles and barely make the playoffs, if they even do. The Seahawks will improve and if Garoppolo can recover in time, the 49ers will be much improved. Consider that in addition to division games the Rams play the NFC South and AFC North, plus the Bears and Cowboys. Several of these team know how to play D. The Rams may just might have a hard time making it to .500. |
