Yeah, because obvious non-calls of blatant pass interference have no impact...

Payton blew the NFC Championship Game he called vs the Rams and he's blowing it again...

You had better believe that Payton is making a push for the change all Saints fans want. I wonder if Robert Kraft has this as a priority?

All the scrub teams that can’t get out of there own way is what kills new rules there satisfied with there dividend’s at the end of the league year so why change anything . Ask the bunguls browns, bills Tampa clowns raiders and the good Kansas City has a beef and the saints nothing will change with ashore Goodel Behind the wheel

Don't need a rule change. Just tell them to call it when they see it. What the hell is so hard about that? Why consult New York if he doesn't instruct them to call it? What's the rule change for, so they can keep screwing it up and get New York's seal of approval?

Reviewing for non call pass interference isn't what needs to be pushed.
They won't pursue that. Reviewing for a non call of a helmet to helmet hit or as the NCAA calls it targeting is what needs to be pushed. I mean with all this player safety talk this should be a priority, right?

The NFL has ZERO credibility. Of course there will be no rule change made, they couldn't control the outcome of games.

There was one proposal that looked interesting, it was proposing tweaks or changes to the onside kick rule, so that you could have a better chance recovering an onside kick, like it was under the old rules. When they change the rules about lining up for kickoffs, they basically took away the onside kick as a viable thing, when you decrease the chances of an onside kick working it really changes the game quite a bit, and for the worse.

That is actually negotiated during the CBA between the league and the NFLPA.

Owners will never willingly make a change to the power of the Commissioner due to the horrible optics at the time of change and for future rulings. The perception that the owners are running the league and making decisions on day to day operations makes them targets and an owners reputation quickly becomes that of his team, hurting the franchise.

He actually had/has the power to call in at that very moment and do something about it, the non-call. This right there speaks volumes.

Bitter fruit if it comes from us. Payton, actively or inactively, found allies who agreed it was a BS situation with the non-call(s) in the NFC title game, plus other teams don't want that same scenario on them...

Not sure I'm a fan of this proposal unless it stays limited to one challenge on a non-call per game - that could get out of hand quickly. Example, per rules, holding could be arguably called every single NFL game...

Unless I've missed it, rules change/oversight recommendation I didn't see is where officials with a known relationship with a participating team should be excluded from available ref pool for a game...

Whatever comes of the changes or not I believe the saints org. And it’s fans made a point to the NFL that we will drag it’s garbage to the dump ours selfs. With no help from the grand poop pa which in my words has made a jackass out of himself more than ever. Heads should have rolled from the top like any other billion dollar company. But not this league because it is protected by mafia rule #1 the boss is untouchable.
